Pakistan/Karachi Ke Hallat?

Salaam, I may be going Karachi in the next few days. Now my mum doesn’t want me to really go as she says “vakhe boht hallat kharab hai” even though she’s there now, but she doesn’t like me going anyway coz I don’t really get on with some my family over there!

Ok, so two years ago in the summer of 06 I went by myself and stayed with family. But as everyone was at work, school etc…I would travel around everywhere myself in the daytime, in rickshaws and taxis. Was really cool, really enjoyed it. I’d like to do the same now.

I’m pretty sure it’s my mum and the media making the situation out to be worse than it is. Is this the case? Would really like some other views on it!

dont do awaragardi the same way u used to do 2 years ago.

dont publicize anything about urself that u r a foreigner, but of course u can go there

I kinda stand out lol. I'm quite a big guy and I'm sure I have foreigner written on my forehead! It's sad I won't be able to do that this time :-(

dude anyone can blend in, just wear shalvar kameez...if you are female wear hijab ... or a chador...

My parents have not taken me to Pakistan for years because “vahaan ke haalaat achey nahi hai” & i don’t see them taking me anytime soon either.

guys dont ya worry....ppl over there themselves dont even know "Wahan k halat"...main reason is "Hello! no electricity"

baki, mulk to zardari k haatoon main day deya hai to what ya guys worrying about :p
