The biggest Masla is the politicians interfering in the name of so-called democracy, whilst they and their parties are themselves dictators. If only the politicians left Pakistan to be run by the greatest Pakistani institution, the Army, then saaray maslay khatam ho jaingay. :)
The ARMY
Pakistan was not created for Army's ayaashi. It was created by politicians and lawyers like Jinnah, Jauhar and Sir Syed. The Army must return to the barracks for good and let the civilians rule the country. If they can defend the borders of our state efficiently and diligently that would be their biggest rehmat but our present army has become a zehmat or liability. The faujis should realise this before there is a civil war in Pakistan. Care to explain why the military felt the need for 'another' spacious and sprawling GHQ building on so many acres of land in the heart of Islamabad?* kya yeh zameen inn k baap kee hai?* I hope the new COAS ends this political role of the military for good. His recent statements are encouraging and I sincerely hope that he means it from the bottom of his heart.
It's about time we spent money on the real issues of education and health which have been criminally neglected for so long by successive military dictators and civilians alike. Population overgrowth is another big problem IMO. In 1990 Pakistan's population was 80 million (UK's population was 57 million). In 2008, i.e. in 18 years it has more than doubled (170 million) while the UK population is still only 60 million.
