Pakistan is an Islamic republic.... sure it may not look like one but often looks are not everything.
It will never be a secular state so long as there are men like me still being born in it...
Besides theres nothing wrong with it being an Islamic republic at least 90% of it's people are Muslim and thats democracy for you.
