Pakistan is where I belong...

Re: Pakistan is where I belong...

Your post has made me thinak how I'll be spending a weekend in Pakistan:
For starters I will wake up early in the morning with the Azan poring in my ears. So much a bettwe way to get up for fajar namaz then the alarm clock. It's April and prbably the AC season hasn't started yet in Peshawar ( my hometown). The celing fan be one and the winsows open. The early morning birds will be chirping on full speakers then the thud of Mushriq Ikhbar hitting the front porch. My father be back from Masjid and brought Rogani Tandoori Nan on his way back ( always a weekend ritual at my home)Ami has the tea thermos ready and we would sit for break fast. Abo will have the full control of the newspaper as well as the TV for early morning News. I'll be reading the garishly colored supplemt section of the paper and dunking my nan in the tea mug. The day will progress, I might chat with a couple of friends on phone or go upstairs in my room and hear the muisc full balst with the door closed.... Oh my I can go and on... Of course all I mentiord above was my life when I was sill living in Pakistan, still a single girl with all the world ahead of me.

I am so greatful for my childhold and adolesence that I spent in Pakitan, ofcourse it was a differnt place back in 80's and early 90's.
