Maybe the government should consider giving citizenship to those Afghan refugees who have clearly made a positive contribution to Pakistani society?

PESHAWAR: Subhanallah, a 22-year old Afghan electronic goods dealer at the Karkhano market, is reluctant to go back to Afghanistan in the current situation. “It will be very unfortunate if we are forced to leave Pakistan,” said the refugee, born in the Utmanzai refugee camp in district Charsadda. “We live with the Pakistanis like they are our brothers. The government’s move to force us to go back to a country where nobody’s life and property are safe will spur hatred for Pakistan among the Afghans,” he said. He said there are no businesses, no education and health services, no communication facilities and no peace in Afghanistan. “We will never forget this injustice by the Pakistani government,” he said.
They will never be happy… Give them a morsal too eat and they curse you for treating them like beggers, dont and they wil curse you for not feeding them!
Most of them hate Pakistan really, they’re only saying it coz they wanna stay.. Two faced twats.. Send them back to their barren rocky “leila watan, zeba watan, zaan Afghanistan” into their caves.
Except for an educated wealthy few (who should be given citizenship) the rest have bought nothing but poverty, death and destruction to our land… Drugs, murders, thefts you name it and we still let them live in our country and they still hate us and love the Indians… A Pakistani can’t visit Afghanistan and be safe and these guys have set up permament camp in our country.
I say dump them over the other side of the river Indus and togther with them merge NWFP/FATA and Balochistan with Afghanistan, yeah I’m keen to get rid of them, that will teach the walnuts a lesson!!

To say that your brothers in Islam have brought only poverty, death and destruction smacks of utter contempt. In a world where muslims are being increasingly prosecuted for their faiths, this attitude wont take the muslim world any further...
To tell you the truth I just want Pakhtoonkhwa to be free from Pakistani occupation, Pakistaniyo ka dil bura karna chaah raha houn Pathano se.. Pakis are sooo obsessed with them they wont let them go, lol..
In 1987 the “Federation for American Afghan Action” constituted a committee in response to reports published in influential newspaper like Washinton Post and Far Eastern Economic Review regarding the large-scale embezzlement in American aid for Afghan Mujahideen. Andrew Eive was the head of this committee who in his report submitted that between 1980 and 1984, 342 millions dollars were given in aid to Afghans out of which only 6 million dollars were actually transferred to Afghan Mujahideen. Eive writes:
“Pakistan’s ISI run by Major General Akhtar Abdul Rahman, which overseen the transfer of money and arms to the rebels is responsible for the theft of millions of dollars in funds and military equipment”.
This reveals who fed whom and how Hamayun Akhtars etc. became billioniares over night.
Three years back BBC conducted a survey as who is more popular in Punjab Musharaf or Ziaul-Haq. The finding of the report was, Punjabis liked Ziaul Haq more because, he was a Punjabi, he strengthened the Punjabi bureaucracy and industrial/business class during his reign, and he awashed Punjab with the rewards of Afghan Jehad but kept it away from its negative fall-out. Camps of the Afghan refugess were located FATA, NWFP, and Baluchistan and it were these areas that suffered the repurcussions of war. In Punjab, there was only one camp established at Mianwali.
Why go far in the past? Before 9/11 Pakistan was on the verge economic collapse with only a few hundred million dollars in foreign reserves, but thanks the American operation in Afghanistan, the opportunity for $$$s making arose again. Same was the situation of Pakistan in 1980s but then an opportunity for money making dawned in the form of Afghan War. Important defense projects were completed during 1980s with aid money and H-trade.
Chel Jalabi, what happened lol, I thought they hated Pakistan so why dont they want to go back now? Face it, Afghanis and Pakhtuns or whatever, they love Pakistan so dearly that they want to call themselves Pakistani, but we are a generous nation, we will continue to let them be part of our nation.
Go where? They are on their own historical land! However, if you want to deport them to Pashtunkhwa, that would be a welcome step. In fact, Lahore High Court once passed a ruling to that effect asking for all Afghan refugees in Punjab to be deported to NWFP/Baluchistan.
Nevertheless, a lot of Pashtuns from Afghanistan I've met prefered Peshawar to Kabul.
Hacha, so the fac that majority of them actually have jobs and are able to support themsleves and their families should be completely over looked… 150 million people majority are either unemployed or under employed, and yet we host 2 million of those bloody refugees and are told that we have done nothing for them..
Afghans are the worst exuse for humanity.. The parasites of the universe.
I gave you the proof that it weren’t the Afghans who benefited from the war. They were rather the worst victom of war with their homes destroyed and their land devastated. The aid, from Western and Arab countries, went into swelling the bank accounts of Pakistan’s military and civil bureaucracy and expanding the industrial complexes of Pakistani b…usiness tycons. Even the high-way from Peshawar to Attok was paved and made two-lane with Afghan aid.
As for parasitism, I feel proud that despite all their hardships, I have yet to see a Pashtun Afghan living on donations and alms. They are very hardworking people setting up shops, doing raw labor, and going abroad to help their families and Pakistan with foreign remitances. In short, the aid money for Afghans, the foreign remitances they sent, the b…usiness they sat up in Pakistan, the cheap labor they provided, etc. helped boost Pakistan’s economy. They have done all sort of labor to sustain their lives instead of living on alms from Pakistan and to be parasites.
One point more. Most of the Afghans are in Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, and Baluchistan. If there are a few in Punjab, they should be deported to Pakhtunkhwa.
Your super-patriotism is driving you crazy. Do you know that the trade between Punjab and Afghanistan is booming with so many v…ehicles passing into Afghanistan daily that the custom facility at Torkham cannot manage it?
It is a fact that they want to maintain strong ties back even if they return and watch Pakistan's cricket matches enthusiastically. There is more warmth in Kandahar and Jalabad for Pakistan than in Kabul. The present Afghan generations, born and raised in Pakistan, are torn between two identities; a Pakistani identity and an Aghan identity. The generations that are more young consider themselves Pakistani.
The comparatively older generation have both feelings of love and hatred for Pakistan; love because of the long time they passed in Pakistan and the strong affiliation they developed with the land and the people; hatred because they think by imposing proxies on Afghanistan, Pakistan humuliated them.
The money that was sent by the CIA and Horded by members of ISI as you claim, was not meant for the betterment of Afghan people.. It was money meant to buy them weapons and training which was provided in Pakistan. And yet the Russians still lost the war! So that arguemnt is irrelevent.
Plus lets not forget about the biggest criminals of your country, you mighty War lords, yet you dont have problem with them...
Afghan refugees choose to live in Pakistan and not only in NWFP but also Karachi and Punjab simply because they benefit from being in the country...
They have been allowed free reign through Pakistan, many have become wealthy and well off.. An oppurtunity that never existed in Afghanistan.
Pakistan would never have had a problem with Afghnaistan had Afghanistan not been its enemy from day one. Every country has a right to defend its interest in the face of enemies both internal and external as is the case with Afghanistan.
Pakistan should never again have to involve itself in the affairs of Afghanistan if it behave itself and stops causing trouble in our territory.
By parasite I mean people like you who despite taking our jobs, living of our land, still have the audacity to curse our country for some precieved fault.. In fact, many of these proud hardworking Afghans and Pashtuns on this site have said they are upset at seeing their country men HAVE JOBS! You people are never happy.. Give you all you want and you still hate us, gove you nothing and you still hate us…
I remember one Afghan on this site was upset when I said that Pakistan should never have gotten involved in Afghan wars, even the one against the Russians.. Ofcourse that is also the same reason why many of them hate Pakistan at the same time.. Argueing withi such people is usless..
Its not about patriotism, its about basic ground relaites.. Why should I not defend my country when it is not at fault, when the accusations you make are almost completely baseless and without merit of any kind… Before you start complaining about the evils of Pakistan, why dont you atleast go do some traveling through the country to see the state of your Pasthuns… Many are more succesful then even the hated Paunjabis and many even more the Mohajirs… How much of Pakistan is run by Pathans? How many bussiness’ are owne dby Pathans, who is doing al the labor? WHo controls transport… Where is this god damned crime that Pakistan is guilty of? Aall I see are a bunch of parasites who have nothing better to do then curse my country and bleed it at the same time for their own benefit.
