Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

aoa..what do you think people when the US is over with Iran (just speaking it hypothetically) would Pakistan be the next target..and if so..then do you think the Pakistan will survive..or not…?

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

Could be next target....who knows

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

Yes, this question has hovered over for a long time, and is not entirely a baseless concern, if Bush stays on forever, sooner or later Pakistan's time could come. But since he wont, i think Pakistan will escape.
And if God forbid such a day ever comes, Pakistan wouldnt be any diff from Iraq or Afghanistan. There may be some diff due to our being nuclear, but in the end that too means either surrender or massive destruction and very slight chance of complete deterrence when it comes to a larger superpower hell bent on invasion.
God bless Pakistan.

And welcome to the forum drops from jupiter.

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

I dont think Pakistan will be a target.

reasons

  1. Pakistan hasnt got oil
  2. Pakistan mostly agree with demands of US anyway.
  3. Pakistan is a nuclear state but no danger to Israel or US directly.
  4. Last not the least China will strongly resist any such attack on Pakistan.

so I dont think Pakistan can be target of US

just in case if it happens,
I can gurantee, we will give them hell of fight , we are not Iraq or Afghanistan.

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

Yeah, China is the reason they will not attack, even if they do, we have an actually army, air force, and navy.
I think Syria will be next target, its part of the Axis of Evil for sum reason I have yet to hear.

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

No, pakistan is not on the list.

Firstly,

I do not see any one in the horizon in the Pak's military or civilian leadership who have the balls to take on the Americans. (Some one like Iran's Ahmedizenad)

Secondly,

Pakistani's are more smarter than Iraqi's and Irani's. They will do all that is required to keep the Americans happy.

Thirdly,

American's have no need to attack pakistan. If things can workout by one $ worth phone call why waste million's of $ in a war. (Remember the famous Powell's call to Musharraf after 9/11, urging to withdraw the support to Taliban's)

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

that right, if they do attack Pakistan then they are going to be the ones who are going to be in truble. if a our army could finish the indian army in two weeks then they can do US is well.

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

Oh come on stop this rhetoric!

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

This is a good reason why Pakistan cannot be the next target.
Also before it even considers Pakistan as a target, North Korea will be come into the picture first.
North Korea has ICBM that can reach Alaska and US is worried about that. I think US would have taken an action on NK if China was not involved and that makes the US policy makers very nervous. So they might increase the pressure on NK to do something about NK.
China on the otherhand is playing NK card. It is like game of SHATRANJ (chess) is on between China and US, and China is using its pawns very carefully.
Pakistan is kind of free pawn, right now no one knows who will use if first - China or US.

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

E tu Haris! ? ?

Didn't catch this thread earlier. Yes it is important to note that the fear mongers from the left and religious groups have been saying this from the get go.

It is the most far out theory that has been supported by nothing but the leftist media.

American policy is long term and it goes on with or without certain presidents. Iraq was bombed, Yugoslavia was destroyed, and Sudan was "missile-d" during the rule of US president whose last name was not "Bush".

Pakistan is the friendliest place in the neighborhood when it comes to the Central Asian policy of the West. People drag Bharat into this but Bharat has no strategic importance in the Middle East compared to Pakistan. So any toys for Bharat are meant for "far East" and not "Middle East".

Pakistan and US have only one sore point from Pakistani point of view and that is Kashmir. US doesn't want Pakistan to use military or militancy in Kashmir because that weakens US position in the middle and central Asia.

Other than Kashmir, every aspect of Pakistani mistakes are forgiven with at most a slap on the wrist.

Pardon Me! Pakistan is different from tribal madness so prevalent in Iraq, Afghanistan, or Iran.

*The difference is never nukie, but the brains. Nukie can't protect from others, brains do.
*

So far Pakistani army has shown enough brains to keep Pakistan away from leftie dominated media and tribal Mullah.

For a hypothetical scenario, if we all "strive" to turn Pakistan into another Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, or Yugoslavia. If we choose leaders like Mullah Omer, Saddam, Milosevic, or Fara-Aideed, yes Pakistan will surely become Islamic jannat (heaven) like Afghanitan, Iraq, or Somalia. Or Pakistan will become fascist jannat like Yugoslavia. Then only then Uncle Sam would show up at the doors.

So even before we discuss Pakistan being next target, we should discuss, how soon we'd allow our lefties, and our Mullahs to convert Pakistan into Somalia. How soon? When? How?

p.s. Please avoid turning our great nation to Somalia. Please! Not even in your thoughts!

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

That'll happen with regime change and not until puppet mush is replaced by quite able Qazi Hussein Ahmed or Maulana Fazlur Rahman. These ppl have a good plan to Pakistan forward

Right not our focuss is growth and our awam(ppl) so we are doing that.

As i said before mushy is a bewaqoof tay jaahil

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

u r a fool in disguise.. Pakistan has gas in sui plus everyone is eyeing the fertile lands of punjab.

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

and so is Bharat. Bharat is a free "paan" too. It got spit out by Commies and now begging to join Western block.

Bharati insistance on become American paan proves that Pakistani foriegn policy was in the right direction from day 1. It was only Bharati disease to hurt Pakistan over and over first in Kashmir, then in Bangal, followed by Siachin.

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target…will it survive..

Leave me fool as we dont need intelligents like you. Sui is nothing compared to Iran and central asian reserves, thats the reason Pakistan is trying to import gas from turkmanistan and Iran through pipe line. Sui reserves are largest in Pakistan not largest comapred to many other countries with russia leading the world on this. Sui reserves has not got much left and we are drying it out by planting CNG everywhere

and its cow boy era that small land of Punjab can drive a world power to invade Pakistan, they can have this in abundance in US itself, canada and india too.

I salute your assessment

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

^^ Oil or gas is an important resource.

However you don't get spanked by super powers just because your water tap makes noises in the morning (spewing gas), or you well has got some oily sheen in the pale of water.

It is rather the way you use your oil and gas that can make you prosperous or butt of the world jokes (or worse).

Pakistan's troubles start at home with bad karma thanks to Maulvi Ashabs' fiery rhetoric, and leftie-media lapping up to comrades from Cuba, Iran, North Korea or in general axis of evil.

Pakistan's strength on the other hand is with it's hardworking people, especially its army defending a stretch of land square in the middle of important trade routes.

In fact it will be good to keep our military busy overseas so that we can get on with our life within our country. They will be so tired working overseas that they would refuse to take any more responsibility within our country like running WAPDA house.

Moreover each and every man posted overseas would bring home at least $750 a month. You multiply that with 250,000 and it is a decent sum in any currency.

Take Iraq for example, it surely is a 15 years project. That means 250,000 will be busy for that many years.

You say how we get so many soldiers. Just go out in Punjab land, and Pashtoon land and you'd find droves of people lined up, chests sticking out, standing tall, ready to roll.

As they say how do we do that. First and foremost, we ought to have civilian leadership that acts more like statesmen rather than puny warlords of Afghanistan or Somalia.

These civilians must ensure peace at home so that the military can go overseas. Civilian leadership should treat army as an asset (exportable) instead of an adversary. In fact civilian leadership should treat each other as compatriots rather than adversaries as well.

Assemblies are great places. However our streets must show tolerance and positive thinking. Even lefties and mullahs should be tolerated as long as they don't create fasad (anarchy).

In that kind of scenario, America will be begging us to join them instead of us fearing attack from Uncle Sam.

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

We are not talking about India. Please stick to the topic.

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

Ouch Narayan baboo! Mirchi is too hot. Heck Bharatis ought to be able to withstand some heat.

Everytime a Bharati talks about paan-ship, they shouldn't forget their own pawn-bazars. That's all.

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target…will it survive..

lol..good one antiobl :k:

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

Actually I love hot stuff :D . This comment was just because when there is India discussion (bashing) and someone compares brings in Pakistan then there are lot of comments like - stick to the topic.

Re: Pakistan, is it the next target...will it survive..

But you sure can't take the heat. When a Bharati comments on Pakistan's geo-strategic policies, he should be ready to look at his own chaddi (underwear). That's all!
