Pathan Bhai has been doing quite a lot of reading and not much writing on the cricketnama lately. It has been great to see all the hype and excitement around Pakistan-Australia series. At the same time its been a little frustrting to see pessimism from some of the Pakistani fans at the cricketnama. It is particularly more distrubing since some of our 'buzurg" folks like Ehsan bhai have been making predictions of Australia 3-zipping Pakis (and i quote “with at least one innings defeat for Pakistan” Unquote).
Pathan Bhai’s perspective however remains different. PB has spent over 200 bucks to get a dish installed to enjoy the live coverage of the series and he isn’t losing hope as yet! PB thinks its a young Pakistani squad yet a very talented one. Its the best we could put on the plane to be sent to Australia really. Plus we got one of the world’s most advanced and highly-paid individual to coach our team.
Now given the above scenario i’d just lay back and enjoy the show regardless of the end result. I fear some of you pessimists will not enjoy the series coz the fear/sorrow of losing will overshadow the game itself. So come on guys, it wont be another 4/5 years until Pak tours Australia again which is nodoubt the best place on the planet earth to play cricket. I hope you all try to get the gist of what Pathan Bhai is trying to say here…

Inshallah Khalil & Asif will do a great job inshallah,
Look at how India performed in their tour games before drawing the test series to Australia. And these games weren’t even played at Perth’s nasty wicket!!!
Last Pura Cup game played at WACA’s main wicket produced over 1600 runs!! So hopefully the wicket Pakistan plays the first TEST on wont be too bad for batting!!!
Hold on to these two points folks and stay positive.

Pathan bhai aab kya khayal hai. My prediction of a 3/0 white wash was unfortunately true. Innings defeat was there for the taking in Perth but the Australians didnt enforce the follow on.
