Pakistan in Afghanistan: Friend or Foe?

Re: Pakistan in Afghanistan: Friend or Foe?

Pakistan has suffered the most since soviet invasion of Afghanistan, and if Pakistan interferes in Afghanistan keeping in mind its internal security then that is fine. Even completely peaceful afghanistan has slowly poisoned Pakistan through their illegal arms and drugs. who needs an enemy if you have neighbor like Afghanistan, peaceful or unstable, Afghanistan is biggest headache to Pakistan that they have to deal with on daily basis.:)

Re: Pakistan in Afghanistan: Friend or Foe?

agreed !

Re: Pakistan in Afghanistan: Friend or Foe?

Actually it is the other way around. It is pakistan which is the biggest headache not only for Afghanistan but for India as well. It is the Pakistan which is training and supporting terrorists and islamists. If Pakistan is not happy about the current situation they can end it very easyly by cutting their support to taliban and other terrorits organisations. Afghanistan and afghans and pashtun are in particlaur are just the victim of the Pakistan's wrong actions.

Re: Pakistan in Afghanistan: Friend or Foe?

do you want to say that there are no taleban in afghanistan? all are going there from pakistan?

who brought heroine and klashnikov culture to pakistan?

Re: Pakistan in Afghanistan: Friend or Foe?

I wonder if any of you guys have been on IJP road, which connects Islamabad to Rawalpindi. Slums have been created by illegal Afghan refugees just on the side of the road. A few weeks back while driving on that road I was amazed to see as to how they had managed to encroach in such an important and expensive area.

Anyways here’s an article about the illegal Afghan refugees living in the areas of islamabad and its surroundings:

The government has decided to hunt down illegal Afghan refugees scattered in the country, reliable sources told ‘The News’ here on Tuesday.

The unregistered Afghans would be deported to their native country while the registered ones would be relocated to the camps of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), set up across the country.

The sources informed that as many as 2.611 million refugees are living in Pakistan, among them 1.611 million are registered with the government of Pakistan while one million are unregistered and living here without any legal documentation. The operation would be initiated from the federal capital to make it effective, the sources added.

The ICT administration has initiated operation to hunt down Afghan refugees living illegally in its jurisdiction and will evacuate them soon, it has been learnt. A comprehensive crackdown would start during the current month to expel the Afghan people living illegally in Islamabad, sources said. Teams comprising key administrative offices have been set to monitor the operation, the sources said adding two camps have been set up to supervise the operation.

**The documents available with ‘The News’ show that as many as 29,520 refugees are living in different sectors of Islamabad including G-9/4, I-10, I-11, I-12/H-12 near NUST, G-12, near railway crossing on IJP Road, slum near Quaid-e-Azam University, Sohan, Khanna, Golra Railway Station, Tarnol and surroundings. **The sources said that a list of target areas have been finalised and the crackdown against the illegal Afghans would be started from the enlisted localities of the federal capital.

A source in the administration told ‘The News’ that the administration has decided to take action against the refugees for their involvement in different crimes. The cabinet committee who met on the issue a couple of days ago also ordered the administration to take action against illegal immigrants residing in Islamabad.

“The administration is going to launch a full scale operation against Afghan refugees within a few days. The community leaders and elders of the refugees are being taken on board for the purpose,” he added.

The source said that that all the rules and regulations on the refugees would be respected while evicting them from Islamabad. “A crackdown would shortly be initiated against illegal immigrants living in slums and suburbs of Islamabad. They would be relocated in different camps set up by UNHCR,” he added.

As many as 29,520 Afghan refugees have been living in Islamabad the data available with ‘The News’ shows. All these refugees came to Pakistan in 1979 when Russia waged a war against Afghans on their soil. They were settled in Pakistan in different camps and international community is funding them. “Pakistan is getting millions of rupees each year from international donors in the name of these Afghan refugees.”

The source said that the administration was forced to take action against illegal immigrants residing in Islamabad following their proven involvement in different crimes. “Islamabad Police have to launch raids on at least daily basis on residences of Afghans to arrest them for their involvement in different crimes.” The sources said that the Afghans were setting up their shanty houses in different sectors of Islamabad.

“Afghans grease palms of concerned officials prior to constructing their make-shift houses in different sectors of Islamabad. Slums and suburbs of Islamabad have also become safe havens of terrorists and criminals, so the administration has decided to flush them out,” the sources said.

The official said that different landlords who have given their lands to the refugees either for cultivation or residence were also being persuaded to cancel their agreements with the immigrants, if they had contracted any.

When contacted, Chief Commissioner (Islamabad) Tariq Mahmood Pirzada confirmed that administration has finalised a plan to take action against Afghan refugees. “They are encroaching on different sectors of Islamabad, so we cannot be silent spectator and decided to take action.” He said that all the international rules and regulations would be taken care of while taking action against the refugees. “We are persuading the refugees to leave Islamabad on voluntary basis, otherwise an action would be started against them soon,” he added.

Re: Pakistan in Afghanistan: Friend or Foe?

There are lots of taliban in Afgahnistan and as your paki generals like Hamed gul stated they are fighting for the intrest of Pakistan. Taliban is not helping afghans and Afghanistan. They are just a tool used by pakistan and ISI to keep the flames of fire in Afghanistan to continue.
Heroine culture and kalashinkov culture was just a bastred child of the jahad culture which was created and support by your government. Blame your government for this culture not afghans. for 30 years ago afghan didn't know anything about heroine.
