He is indeed a very good reader of the game, far superior to Inzi IMO. But in Pak you are judged on length on your beard and people support that you
get assigned tasks that you are not mentally capable of because they do not want the other sharabi guy no matter how good he might be to do the job.
re: Pakistan hunt batting coach
If an organization is to be run according to the highest standards of professionlism, then it should not matter what happens in a persons after hours life, so long as their after hours life does not affect the "day job". Both Inzi and Shoaib let their after hours life affect the day job, and please don't ask me to translate that. Both anti-religious and tablighis will be offended if I do.
re: Pakistan hunt batting coach
I is not happy:naraz: I put it down to lazy attitude more than anything-else. Inzi just didn’t work hard on his game. It was only because of his enormous talent that he survived for so long in Pakistan cricket.
Although I am very much against excessive display of religiosity, Amla has shown that it can be done if you use common sense.

Wish SA had used his brain during his playing days as well. Talent alone is not enough. Had he worked hard on his fitness and done something about his temperament & attitude he could have cemented his place in history as one of the greats of the game .... but missed almost as many tests as he has played!!
Achieved a reasonable amount but given his talent 178 test wickets (in 46 tests at 25.69, healthy stats but...) is a massive underachievement esp. in an age where many fast bowlers have taken close to 400 or 500 test wickets.

So how did everyone do on the 'Inzi test'??
*I mean how many of you actually know the d'ua? honest!! *
on topic**
Regardless of YK having a certificate, didn't they learn ANYTHING when Miandad was made coach soon after his retirement?
I agree, hence I said 4 or 5 years down the line (NOT NOW). Younis impressed with his positive captaincy (aggressive field placings, animated discussions with bowlers, leading from the front attitude) in the mid-2000s. True that he is a bit of a hot head and over-reacted to petty issues at times in the past like when Shahryar Khan (ex PCB Chairman) made him wait (curse of VVIP culture in Pakistan) in the waiting room like a chaprasi. Younis got angry and resigned from captaincy (an overreaction for sure). Perhaps YK never got the same support as captain from PCB as Inzi and Misbah did.
re: Pakistan hunt batting coach
GA, with your permission, may I add Inzi indeed was enormous? (Jk)

It is amazing that TJ group has such a "sehar" on the non practicing and follower bunch that no one on cricketnama dare comment on this or even respond to my posts.
And GA ...wow...am really surprised at you too....but not shocked...
Alhamdolillah I not only know the dua, I am sure I can put a common TJ brother in a "chakkar" about their practices.
re: Pakistan hunt batting coach
Then what you will get is more of charsi Mohammad Asifs ![]()

No AA I am not into TJ. Keep religion simple. do not have any strong views either way about TJ. don't agree with their doctrine but like the fact that TJ followers are against violence of any kind. People I can't stand are narrow-minded & self righteous JI type thugs
re: Pakistan hunt batting coach
How about Waqar Younis back as national coach after Whatmore's contract expires in Mar 2014 or 'ideally' after CWC 2015 (most of the people he's played with will be gone by then). Waqar was doing a very good job imo.

off topic but let me clarify, I am "tablighi" and there's no competition. No need to put anyone in chakkar over anything. :) If you like we can discuss further privately.
re: Pakistan hunt batting coach
Should they have already not extended Dav Whatmore's contract until CWC 2015? What do people think?
re: Pakistan hunt batting coach
^ He died so there was no point. Or are you thinking of some one else?
re: Pakistan hunt batting coach
sorry meant Whatmore. have edited
re: Pakistan hunt batting coach
The batsmen haven't shown any improvement under him but wc being just a couple of years away they should stick with him. Keep changing coaches isn't going to help.
re: Pakistan hunt batting coach
I agree. would persist with him as coach until CWC 2015

Got it thanks. Yep the other political turned semi religious are doing harm as well.

Naah. However a real board would objectively evaluate DW via a Strength vs. weaknesses analysis and see how to adjust his pay / benefits if full time batting and bowling coached are needed alongside.

Hey as they say "to each their own". You are in your own chakkar since you admitted you are who you are :)Although I don't have time for internet debates since I spend my time debating with teachers while learning from them in non-virtual classes.
