Re: Pakistan... heading fast towards being "moderate" and "liberal"
A random and isolated act of nudity does not make Pakistan a nation of nudists. Just as one child killer doesn't equate that the whole nation is full of murderers. That is not how you gauge the trends.
As long as you are going to base your conclusions on anecdotal evidence anyway, atleast chose a reasonable driver to gauge the direction. For example if you walk in a normal city market and you most girls dressed in western clothing, or kids in most schools celebrating Halloween and Valentine's Day and our highest government officials throwing christmas parties and having a christmas tree in the Presidential palace... that shows you a trend.
Pakistan is definitely going in the direction of progressive values (atleast in big cities). There are various causes for that, and there are pros and cons for that. Living in western society we can see a lot of things these people do differently, and our hope will be that Pakistanis don't just pick up the newest fashion trends or dating techniques from the west, but rather also gain the traits of honesty, courtesy, hard work, research and respect for law (just to name a few).
