91 women MNA’ and Senators in the federal parliament.
Pakistan has a higher proportion of women elected to parliament than any country in South Asia (incl. India), near the top of the scale in the Muslim world, and a higher proportion than leading western decmocracies like the United States, Canada, Greate Britain and France.
Re: Pakistan has one of highest ratio's of women in parliament
Why isn't this being highlighted? If there's one thing Paks are crap at, it's PR. Indians would have paraded themselves naked with this fact scrawled on them... not that we should go so far..
In 2005, according to statistics from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), a total of 3,634 more women contested the local elections nationwide, compared with participation in local government polls in 2001.

Islamabad is one of the 10 cleanest cities of the world.
Unfortunately, terrorism, religious Jihadi Madrasas, ethnic killings and regional discontent is generally highlighted overseas/media. Dictatorship is also a big negative.
Pakistan has a lot going for it, in terms of high growth rate, young population etc.
I wish it all the best.
