yes pakistan also has a great potential in various other fields as well and I sincerely hope kay we get there.. but the problem is that government is still stuck at the judges issue.. we can't seeem to resolve that for past 2 years...
its heart breaking that in a world where countries are worried about poverty, oil, rising cost of food and environment.. we are more worried about "our" money.. sad indeed..

Looking into the ethanol production, where it has been done it leads to economic problems because it takes almost as much energy to produce as is created. It often uses food grains, leading to higher food costs and shortages. Ethanol is not a simple proposition, cost/benefit is more complicated than appears on the surface.

Only if ethanol is produced from bio-"waste"/molasses then its great, but if its anything like replacing wheat/rice fields with corn (?) for ethanol then NO!

garbage eh. I seriously don't think they were talking about ethanol through garbage/biowaste. I'd imagine, the technology (and consequently the costs along with it) may be too complex to implement for Pakistan?
