My point is to ignore Indians with a negative mindset who come to GS and post their negativity.
As long as we have Indians who think (and believe) that nothing good can come out of Pakistan and nothing bad can come out of India, we will have this problem.
And I have said earlier that Pakistan needs to "break-free" from its "india-fixation". I have said it earlier in some other thread that we need to bolster relations with Iran, Bangladesh and other neighbours - why stuck on just one neighbour........................................
regarding your point on India's permanent seat in the UN Security Council - do you know what will the FIRST action India will undertake if it gets this? think about it!
The way to success and prosperity for Pakistan does not lie in having relationships of an extreme dimension with the eastern neighbour. There is another way besides: (a) full "cultural" integration, and (b) full state of war!!! There needs to be a moderated and controlled relationship in my view.
And no, I won't be happy or proud that Indians take such an interest in my country! I am indifferent to that because I have met dozens of Indians who talk about eventually controlling Pakistan economically!
I know not all Indians are like that but when it comes to India, I believe we need to be cautious and skeptical. We are an independent country and we need to start thinking outside the box and stop living in a world where prosperity is linked to degree of peaceful relations with ONE neighbour - we have other neighbours and our passive leaderships (be they "democratically elected" or militarily imposed, need to do more!)
When I said who cares about what Indians think, I was referring to the negative posts put up by Indians here! I saw PAkistanis trying to counter-argue their nonsensical ideas (eg "Mughal ambitions of Pakistan!! lol!!! )-
And one last thing: Indian Muslims. I don't know why Pakistanis stop dead in their tracks when someone tells them that there are over 100 million Muslims in India!!! So bloody what if there are Indian Muslims!!!
Indian Muslims from Uttar Pradesh to Kerala have made a choice: which is not wanting to be part of the Islamic state of Pakistan! Get over it Pakistan! that's their choice!! The Indian President is a Muslim who has been a (if not the key) player in designing Indian nuclear missiles (and by the way, they had Pakistan in mind not China when they did this!) and he says that when dies he should be cremated and not buried! that's his choice................................but is this the kind of Muslims Pakistan should try to emulate? The whole purpose of Pakistan was to block the perceived real and present danger of being overwhelmed by an alien culture which would undermine our identity: (1) primarily religious identity and (2) cultural identity (for eg Urdu language being replaced by "hindustani" language, etc.
And you have numerous other Indian Muslims, like Shah Rukh Khan, who call themselves "Islamic heroes" and proudly say that they have hindu wives and that they are "secular"!!! Is this what we want in Pakistan?? We have our own country, our own national interests, our own strategic interests and issues. We don't need India's "attention label" to feel proud or happy! I think that's ridiculous. Let Indians (Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus,etc.) do what they want. Why should it affect our priorities to such an extent?
I shall continue with some of these ideas in the "Politics" forum. But I hope Pakistanis can understand this viewpoint as well. The last thing we need is to drown in India's love and then 20 years later look back and regret it!!!
