Private TV Channel quoted sources as saying that the meeting lasted for more than one hour. It was the first meeting of Hafiz Saeed with any political figure after his release from house detention. Talking to Private TV Channel after the meeting, Ameer JI Syed Munawar Hussain underscored the need of unity among religious parties in current situation.
Reacting over the reservation of US with regard to release of Hafiz Saeed, he said, US interference is increasing day by day in country’s internal affairs. The Government, he said, should take Pakistani nation into confidence and halt offensive against Taliban in Swat immediately. He said JI’s campaign with name of “Go America Go” is underway and people related to every walk of life should participate in it.
