After living in denial Pakistani establishment has finally accepted that the terrorist is from Pakistan. However this is in no way the end of things … rather India will have to keep up the diplomatic pressure to get this issue resolved. But it is a good start.

A round of “Pepto-Bismo” would be required on this forum though :smiley:

**Pakistan has not admitted anything! This was an isolated comment from an official from the shameful Musharraf regime who was kept on the orders of the west, and has now been sacked by the Government of Pakistan and fired.

I did, the guy who came up with this suggestion was an 'agent' and remnant of the previous Govt of Pakistan, who was kept on sifarish of the west. He has been fired.

All the Pakistani Govt or ex-Govt officials who are desperately trying to link this to Pakistan are Musharraf's old buddies, for instance this moron Durrani, and Ansar Burni Singh (Indian human rights minister to Pakistan).

Pakistan was hoping that by admitting that Kasab was a Pakistani, they would gain some praise from the international community but India has turned up the heat and Manmohan Singh has gone as far as saying that state actors could be involved. Pakistan's strategy failed and hence the volte-face.

I dont think Pakistan officially denied that.

All Pakistan was asking for was evidence and India shared that only couple of days ago. Had Indian Govt listened to Pakistan instead of their political needs, this would have happened way before.

If you think its just like k Pakistan claim "Benazir ko Wajpiee nai marwaya hai, hand him over", first thing anyone will ask for is "evidence". When it on country to country basis dealing, it has to be conclusive evidence instead of clips form Indian media where host were having orgasm bashing Pakistan (within couple of hours from the start of incident)

Now that India has handed over the evidence, I am sure investigation will begin and if someone found guilty (as per India's claim), he will be (and should be) dealt with.

^ Prior to this, they never confirmed it. Did they. Pakistan had the resources to figure out if Kasab was real or not and from Durrani it was clear that they knew it long time ago. But they did not want to confirm it.
Besides Kasab wrote a letter to the Pakistan embessy in India for councilor access. Pakistan would have come clean on this if at that time they accepted him to be a Pakistani national. Pakistans credibility is at all time low now.
If Pakistan was really intent in helping India they would have accepted that Kasab is a Pakistani and then requested for joint probe into mumbai attack. The onus was on Pakistan to come clean. It was India who was wronged not the other way round.

u gotta admit that Indian Pakistan never had a love affair. Things that you have talked about look good on paper but far away from ground reality.

If one of the country want other to do something, they have to back their claim with evidence. As I said there was no love affair so none of the two will go extra yard for other be it India or Pakistan.

^Sure it is. But do you not believe that it would have saved Pakistan a lot of trouble if they had admitted it earlier. India was looking for a positive signal and even after your own papers and minister admitting to it, there was denial.
If in the end it was indeed needed to be admitted then they could have done it long time ago.

Pakistan has agreed that the terrorist called Ajmal Kasab ia a Pakistani ..... that is what thay have agreed to ..... as of now . Now what evidence or proof would India have given for this ?????? Geo & other news agencies were able to talk to his father & get information that the person so mentioned was a Pakistani. Now what did Paksitani establishment do .... they made a statement that he is not in the NADRA database ...... which incidently is true .... but then he was all along a Pakistani national .... this episode does not make Pakistan look good.
