Pakistan expels Indian diplomat: official

Pakistan on Saturday ordered an Indian diplomat to leave the country for indulging in undesirable activities, the foreign office said.
Deepak Kohl, Counsellor at the Indian High Commission (embassy) in Islamabad, was “caught indulging in practices incompatable to his status,” foreign office spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam told media.
“We have asked that he should be withdrawn from Pakistan by the beginning of next week,” she said.

India announced the expulsion of a Pakistani diplomat on Saturday in a tit-for-tat move after Islamabad ordered out an Indian diplomat, a foreign ministry official said.
The Pakistani was identified as Sayed Mohammed Rafq Ahmed and the official said he held the rank of councillor at the Pakistani High Commission (embassy) in New Delhi.
India gave the Pakistani diplomat 48 hours to leave the country, officials said but offered no reason for his expulsion.
New Delhi retaliated after lodging a protest against the expulsion of its diplomat Deepak Kaul from Pakistan on the grounds of undiplomatic activities.
The Indian foreign ministry in New Delhi summoned Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner Afra Siab and gave him an official protest letter, said an Indian official, who did not disclose the letter’s contents.
Where was the peace process taking us anyways? CBMs were wearing thin, when the core issues are being completely ignored. India only wants peace on its own terms.
When Pakistan offered help in investigating Bombay attacks, when Pakistan condemned the blasts they did not listen and continued honking and blaming Pkaistan. Now again, Pakistan gave reason for his expulsion and India only expelled Pakistani diplomate as a retailation and started honking "peace process again"

What do fundamentalist Muslims have to do with this? Fact is the guy was caught red handed. If Indian diplomats behave themselves, we wouldnt have such incidences.
The diplomat wasnt kicked out by fundamentalists… He was kicked out by the govt after he was caught red handed.
Secondly, Fundamentalists arent the only ones who see no hope in CBMs… A lot of Liberals are also of the views aswell. I had a lot of confidence in them to for a while, until I realized that they were nothing more then India eye candy to distract us from the core issues that cause all the problems.
Fundamentalists inspiring bombings and killings? Do you have any proof that the Mumbai bombings were carried on the behest of Pakistan or Pakistani backed groups? The Indian govt hasnt provided any. Its just political expediency to blame everything on Pakistan.
Besides, India wasnt ready to negotiate even before these bombings so I lost confidence in India and Indian intentions long before. My conclusion is that Indians only want peace to suite themselves, Pakistan will always be a loser in any dialogue.
Its up to India to be mature enough to offer somesthing substantial.. Enough of these stupid people tp people contacts and tear jerking exchanges of flowers at the friggin border.
Before you start complaining and blaming the so called fundamentalist in Pak, you might want to look at your own hawks who will never allow any peace.
If someone else had accused his community....this coward would run to Mods with complains, or would shout to stick to the topic!
Because other communities in India are quite peaceful. It is only Hindus among Indians who have a problem. Other Indians are okay.
I'd not run to anyone buddy. Truth is quite bitter. That is why I do not use the term Indians. I use that particular word for that particular community which has problem.
Guys please try and address this issue seriously without getting into ethnic/peronal arguments.
This sudden glitch could prove quite decisive in shaping the near future between the two countries.
Please take a look at the subject of this thread. It does not concern religion or any school of thought. Stop discussing fanaticism and fundamentalism.
If there's nothing serious to be discussed about the issue of the diplomats' expulsion and its posible after effects any more, the thread can be locked.
