ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has again been ignored by the organisers of Champions League Twenty-20, the third edition which is scheduled to be held from September 23 to October 9 and is a joint venture of cricket Boards of India, Australia and South Africa.

As many as 13 teams are set to compete this season and six teams will compete to claim three spot through a qualifying event.
“We are surprised the organisers have again not invited us although this time they have even scheduled a qualifying tournament for six teams before the main competition,” cricketnirvana.com quoted a PCB official.
Teams from India, New Zealand, West Indies, England Sri Lanka will compete in the qualifiers from September 19 to 21.
“So far we have not had any discussions with the Indians on this as yet but when we meet them on the sidelines of the ICC meeting this month we will discuss the Champions League matter,” the official said.
The PCB official expressed that Pakistan could not send its team unless the organisers invite them.
“We will bring up this issue with the Indian board officials as they are one of the partners for the CL with Australia and South Africa as we don’t see reason now for them not to have the Pakistani champions in the league.”
The official said the issue of revival of bilateral cricket ties with India would also be discussed with the Indians. “We are keen to have a revival of bilateral ties with them even at neutral venues. Hopefully we should get some response this time”, he said.
I say forget what they do...Invite our players/teams or not...why are we not discussing that our so called seniors and star players are not participating in domestic competition and are performing in county?
Actually what BCCI is doing is the mentality of whole India or at least the people in Power... the moment they get some influence/power on some international arena, they start using it to downplay Pakistan... BCCI thank you for telling us what Indian Govt is actually upto
why pakistanis r trying to involve in anything which has indian influence it is a extended part of IPL-did indians showed any interest in any pakistani league-better keep a safe distance
^ This tournament is organized by a joint venture of India, South Africa and Australia. So each country shares some responsibility - including India.
I am still confused - has any specific reason been given for the exclusion?
No need for that since it's a commercial thingie with ICC's consent ..... i wonder what our Team will gain from it
We haven't done a favor to our cricket so can't expect from PPL who don't like us
For years the only team to play us in our backyard was SL and SL says they'll play if security is assured ..... two boards offered to host our home matches and the one where we had more crowds than we'll ever have at home we kicked in the face ..... so our management (if we can call it) is good enough to bring down any effort to help our cricket and the rest is done by Players Ego ..... did i miss something ????

Does that really have to be said? The bcci bullies the icc around. The clt20 is run by bcci aussie and saffer boards. India must bully this group around more than the icc. Aussie and saffer boards must just nod their head to the bcci. Thats it. They are gold diggers.
Instead of blaming our enemy, can we do better than them. Remember Allama's sher 'Khudi ko kar buland itna'. We have to understand that India and Pakistan are enemies and we should never be surprised if our enemy tries to harm us.
