I think over all turnout will be around 25 to 30%. But you can't blame voters for not voting. Will people's lives going to better lets say next year around this time? Most likely not. So, what's the point?
These are the constituencies I am interested in they r mostly NWFP ....any one who wants to share his comments or reviews about any personality is most welcome....

NA2...I belong to this halqa and would support ..Khalid ayub...very educated and fine person... Arbab jehangirs son is also standing from this constituency. He also is a capable man.

Sorry, but you can blame the people. Its no use complaining about this and that leader being corrupt, if most people don't turn out to vote. It was because only 26% of people voted in the 97' elections that allowed Nawazu to get his big majority. Was that representative of the Pakistani people's will? No. The people of Pakistan can be sovereign in their lives, if more of them bothered to exercise their right to vote in elections, and making your voices be heard.
Another interesting constituency to look out for ........
.NA-29 Swat-I
Adnan Aurang Zeb Bicycle
Azeem Khan Advocate Tractor
Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi Bat
Shamsher Ali Khan Arrow
Qari Abdul Baees Saddiqui Book
REVIEW
This is the second time Imran khan is standing from this seat last time he lost ....I dont know why swat is his favourite.
So any updates on the result? Counting will begin at?
I think the low turnout reflects the fact that the majority of people have no faith in any of the political parties - and who can blame them? The PML/QA which is most likely to win has been carefully groomed by the military, and it will be an extension of military rule in all but name. People don't need to vote for what they already have, and the fact is, they would rather have military rule than incompetent politicians at the moment.
Another Halqa too look for…
NA-51 Rawalpindi-II
1 Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri Truck
2 Raja Shaukat Aziz Bicycle
3 Ch. Muhammad Khurshid Zaman Tiger
4 Raja Pervaiz Ashraf Arrow
5 Ch. Tariq Mehmood Naqshbandi Gujar Book
6 Syed Mouzam Ali Rizvi Railway Engine
A short note about Tahir ul Qadri…
.Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was born on 19-02-1951 at Jhang. His ancestors belong to Sial family of Jhang. They were agriculturist of Kheewa Village, Chiniot Road of district Jhang; two of them being very spiritual persons, gave up all their lands and properties and migrated to Jhang (then Known as Maghiana) and D.I Khan respectively. :k:
I just have a question ....
Were the provincial assembly elections also held today ?
Yes the provincial assembly's election was also held today.
Results as they come in.
I am from NA-126, where there is a contest between
1) Fakhar Zaman (Arrow)
2) Liaqat Baloch (Book)
3) Tariq Banday (Cycle)
4) Faisal Saleh (Tractor)
Tariq Banday has previously won the election in 1993, on PML-N's seat. Now he is contesting on PML-Q's seat. While PML-N is supporting Liaqat Baloch of MMA. From my constituency, apparantly Liaqat Baloch seems a strong candidate for winning the polls.
I find it interesting that initial results show MMA is winning two folds. Lets see what are the final results show.
PESHAWAR, Oct 10: MMA wins first seat. Qazi Fayazur Rehman Alvi wins NA3 - Peshawar 3
LAHORE, Oct 10: In Lahore, MMA candidate Liaquat Baloch is in a winning position with results awaited from only 60 polling stations.
PESHAWAR, Oct 10: Initial reports indicate an MMA wave across NWFP. Early results from Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda and Dir show MMA candidates leading by wide margins. In NA-3, MMA candidate is in a 14,000 vote lead against the PPP candidate. It seems that the MMA will end up bagging more seats than were initially projected for them. (Posted @ 21:25)

Adhmedjee, these were the seats that the MMA was expected to bag...
As for Bilaur, I hope he loses badly...
Although it is certain the elections are rigged, there have been reports that the papers have already been stamped, its just a matter of fullfilling a formality... For E.g. if PPP loses in places like Larkana, we all know why... This rigging will be most unfortunate for the PPP, which had a good chance of winning now that thier rivals have been dissected into two chunks.
Well Sheikh Rasheed will win those seats without much resistance I guess.
I was watching PTV, and Musharraf just said, there have been 4 or 5 minor incidents… How can he refer to the death of two Pakistanis as minor?
Two killed, over 47 injured in clashes on eve of elections

A clash occurred between the supporters of PML-QA and PML-N at 157 polling station in Nizampur. A Naib Nazim was injured when supports of PML-Q and PPP clashed at polling station 46 in Sheikhupura. One voter was injured as the supporters of PML-Q and Millat Party clashed in Chak Chaudhrian in Jamalpur. Six persons were injured when workers of PPP and PML-Q clashed in Kalianpur in Sargodha district. More than 25 people were injured in fighting between the supporters of PPP and PML-F near Shahdapur in the province of Sindh. They also opened fire during the clash.
The people belonging to the PPP and the PML-F clashed at Tajal village polling station of NA-216 Khairpur, leaving more than seven injured. A firing incident also occurred in Hyderabad. Two persons were injured in election-related incident in Panjgore in the province of Balochistan.
Interesting, MMA winning from Islamabad by a lead of 12000 votes. PPP was looking good from this seat, looks like we should look for unexpected results.
