I think she was referring to red color (surkhas you know). The way these comrades quote Russian writers in their speeches, etc is enough proof that they were highly affected by communism. PPP’s popularity in Sindh at earlier stage was due to its socialist agenda. Even before Bhutto came in to power, lady prisoners in Sukkur Jail had high hopes in him to get them free.
