Yes, there was one last year at Nathan philip square and is also planned for this year as well.
Last time the whole place was packed and very intellect people hosted the event. It was amazing. Family event

I just checked the Urdu newspapers and apparently there is another one on Aug 12 at Nathan Philips Square. The artists coming are Haroon and Mona Lisa and many others.
I don't know why they are having two same events at the same place.

With all those Lal Masjid Operation, Suicide bombings and govenment involvment in killings in Karachi and Bannu/Deer, my heart is not into any 'INDEPENDENCE DAY' celebration. Rather have a special dua for homeland on that day.
wese bhi these celebrations are nothing but full of Consulate saab's kiss-asses, so called community leaders (man I would kill those bast@rds) and some third class artists from desiland (except for Abrar and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan ofcourse).

went there.. it ws alrite.. there ws this puny guy who kinda looked like haroon performing (dont know his name) and haroon came in later.. everyone seemed to be having a good time...
eitherways, while i ws there i heard a buncha people talk abt this upcoming junoon concert.......
anyone who has any details, please kindly SHARE. i really really really wanna go see that one... it's been a while now :)
