Okay, so a couple of my friends and I have planned on visiting pakistan this winter and since we are actually going there to attend a friends wedding we decided to stay there for a little longer and do a cross country tour starting from the south; Karachi all the way to the North; Gilgit.
and we have selected a few must see places which are :
-tharparkar desert
-mohenjo daro
-hinglo national park
-derawar fort
-cholistan desert
-khewra salt mines
-chaukhandi tombs
-ranikot fort jomshoro
-astola island
-Kirthar mountain range
-Kalash valley
-Gilgit
-hunza valley
Since i havent visited pakistan since more than 13 years now is there something i need to know before i visit these places, especially the fact that everyone points security reasons as a major issue in Balochistan regions, I mean how bad could be.
After doing a little research i noticed that many tourists not being nationals do actually go to these “dangerous” place so why would people like me would have issues.
Also can someone give a little insight on the Astola island and how can we go there i havent been able to get alot of information on that or is there any risk involved.
It would be great if you could some more amazing and beautiful places for me to add to the list.
Updated: We are also planning on taking on gopro’s and maybe stream our trip back to our friends & family home so would these equipment would get into maybe some kind of trouble or maybe robberies in any areas.

there is road. Back then I had not seen many place... but when I saw that... I want to be there for ever. But ask other people as well if its really that pretty.
