Pakistan Civil Awards

105 notables to get Pakistan Civil Awards on Pakistan Day - thenews.com.pk

Good to see Mohabbat Ali Unar, Samia Noreen and Syed Iqbal Haider among the recipients.

Lots of awards for services to sciences, literature, journalism, defense, public service, sports and performing arts. Wondering why we do not have awards to services in finance, economics, business and related disciplines. Is it that we do not produce capable people in these areas or we do not celebrate such devilish occupations?

Finance economics business awards…

Re: Pakistan Civil Awards

Sitara-e-Imtiaz were conferred on Irfan Siddiquie and Ata-ul-Haq Qasmi in the fields of journalism and literature respectively.

The two gentlemen were rewarded for their ‘outstanding contribution’ in their respective fields.

Ifran Siddique has been a speech writer of Nawaz Sharif for a long period of time. He has been recently appointed as Special Adviser to the PM on National Affairs. Irfan Siddique was the commander of the army of the writers who took on the PTI with vigour and valour. A cursory look at the list of columns Mr Siddique has written since 2008 reveals the entire gamut of his realm. He is mostly found either eulogizing Sharifs or blasting his rivals.

Ata-ul-Haq Qasmi is known as Nawaz Sharif’s courtier. He was previously posted as an ambassador of Pakistan in Norway and Thailand during Nawaz Sharif’s premiership from 1997 to 1999. He does not trail far behind Irfan Siddiqui when it comes to PTI-bashing. Given the services he redered to Sharif, his third posting as an ambassador seems imminent.

Re: Pakistan Civil Awards

Are you sure? :hmmm:

Re: Pakistan Civil Awards

Seriously? So what if he is anti-PTI? That doesn't have any bearing to play on anything. This is a Jiyala post. So and so is evil because he doesn't like the PPP.

Re: Pakistan Civil Awards

^ It is not about being anti-PTI but only a depiction of how the esteemed civil awards are distributed to favorites for personal services.
