I know that PAF has one Squadron already in service, but is there any interest from other countries? Last time I was in Sargodha, there was an team from Chad that had showed interest.

^ PAF never considered F-16s as their mainstay Multi-role Fighters instead they inducted a special tactical squadron laced with F-16s only.
PAF have been in the market for a long time to replace its aging MRF Fighters and settled with JF-17 built jointly by China & Pakistan. Since JF-17 is built with PAF specific requirements it would phase-out F-7P, F-6, Mirrages, PAF has in its arsenal.
J-10 is China made indigenous C-Fighter aircraft ^ link,, is another item on PAF shopping list which China has signed & sealed to provide them asap. PAF will aquire 80+ of J-10s and 110 + of JF-17 (approximate)

So far it has been reported by various sources that 250 x JF-17 will be ordered by PAF, One of the source cited below. But how many we will get depends on the threat preception.

I’m not sure about the numbers 250+ as in Pakistan these numbers are different and more reliable. One more reason not to trust any Indian Newsprint I guess !

^ So 250+ with BVR and LGM missiles and minus the old inventory seems a pretty good and much needed upgrade!
Without getting into complex calculations its a known fact Pakistan does not have any serious threats or foes in the region beside India and who'r we kidding when it is alleged that such weaponry will not be used against India?
Now if we some how resolve old aged issues bilaterally than both economies can benefit from saving themselves from such ventures and costs!! Imagine the vision ,,,,,
