KARACHI, August 14 (Online): Pakistan broke the world record Friday by unfurling world’s largest flag made ever by Shell Pakistan at the National Cricket Stadium.
The national flag 510-ft into 340ft has broken the current record of the 505ft into 255-ft American Super flag. The flag was unfurled amidst a large crowd, Chairman Senate Muhammad Mian Soomro was Chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking at the occasion Muhammad Mian Soomro lauded Shell’s efforts to celebrate 57th Independence Day with a new and innovative zeal and putting Pakistan’s name in the Guinness Book of World Record.
Shell Pakistan has decided to send the official entry of this flag to the Guinness Book of World Record. It is said that the Guinness Book of World Record has also agreed to consider this attempt by Shell as new record of world’s largest flag.

isnt it good that Pakistan will enter the Guiness Book this way
even if its not such a remakable big sort of achievement but even then ...it shows some love for the country by the ppl

i guess..but it still is of no real value man...and i m not that impressed by guiness book to say wow pak in it...
I am sure we all know SHELL is not a Pakistani company. So if Shell has produced a flag, though Pakistani, all it does is put Shell's name in the guiness book, with a mention that the flag is Pakistani. So the record will be by SHELL and not by Pakistan or any pakistani.
I Pity people's (of pakistan) imagination to see their country shining.
