Re: Pakistan braces for more terrorism, Pak military willing to fight back
hooray hooray
another great threat about something we already know!!!
Anything new u wanna share?
About India? About Iran? about illegitimate war in Iraq by USA?
India: I care little about India. India is important but it is China-lite. China is the far more important rising Asian giant for the world.
Iran: Well, the mullahs there instituted hijab for mannequins two weeks ago. ![]()
US/Iraq: Iraq barely makes the news these days, at least here. Notice how few bombings occur there right now? It used to be far worse than present day Afghan/Pak combined. Hopefully Pakistan/Afghanistan can do what Iraq did.
Re: Pakistan braces for more terrorism, Pak military willing to fight back
So you only care about Pakistan
hmmmmm
thats your only obsession in life at the moment i guess
well i wish you happy dreams about Pakistan lolz
by the way
your
obsession with Pakistan
ehum when did this all start
are there any other countries that bother you?
I want to find out the root cause of your fascinating phobia.
Re: Pakistan braces for more terrorism, Pak military willing to fight back
Easy: my parents are from Pakistan so naturally I would have a special interest in Pakistan. After 9/11 my interest in Pakistan increased as it was no longer just an ethnic connection but self-interest involved given that Al-Qaeda is based on Afghanistan/Pakistan.

Well what makes you think or believe that most pakistani's are pro TAliban
If most paksitanis are not pro usa does not make them pro Taliban or Al Qaida mate!!!
And if you or your parents are from Pakistan then why are u defaming here Pakistan?
If you are against extremism or terrorism then most of us are against that
but why why why do you always mention ISLAMIC terrorism or extremism and not
hindu or christian extremism and terrorism????
In my eyes
anyone who comes on tv
and calls him/herself a muslim and blows himself up
he is not a muslim
a muslim cannot kill innocent people
if that still happens then 1 1/2 billion musliims on this planet should they account for few nuts?
just try to be fair in your writing please and give balanced opinion and dont be judgemental.
Most Pakistanis in the US are pro-Taliban so presumably the ones in Pakistan are even more pro-Taliban!
I am disappointed in Pakistan. It started from the same point as India with the same history, same form of government, same basic culture, same economy, etc. The only difference was religion. Yet look at where Pakistan is today and where India is. Pakistan has the same potential as India yet is squandering it.
There simply is not much Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist, Confucian, etc. terrorism. Almost all the terrorism in the world, and probably 99% of religious terrorism, is Islamic. This is because for years children have been taught that they will go to heaven if they wage "jihad" and kill people among many Muslims, especially since Saudi Arabia began exporting this ideology to every corner of the globe. Why do you think suicide bombing suddenly became so common among Muslims in the past 25 years when it never occurred during the previous 1,300 years?
There is extremism in all religions but not all extremists are the same. Christian fundamentalists in the US want the 10 commandments posted in government buildings, a prayer to open the day in schools, a ban on abortion, and a ban or strict controls of pornography. Compare that to the agenda of Islamists! Which is more dangerous? Islamists are more akin to Nazis imo.

Read this forum. A significant minority of this board is Islamist and pro-terrorism.
Note that I always refer to "Islamists" or "Islamism", not Islam. I am talking about that minority, albeit a big minority, not Muslims in general when it comes to terrorism.
However, it is not just a few nuts when it comes to things like gender inequality and persecution of religious minorities. The former is a majority view in some Muslim countries while the latter is almost universally accepted.
Let me put it this way, if I were born in the 1930's I would have the same fear of Nazism as I do today of Islamism. They are similar ideologies although one is racial and the other religiously cloaked.
Re: Pakistan braces for more terrorism, Pak military willing to fight back
^ You cannot substantiate your numbers.
'Most' people are pro-taliban.
99% of religious terrorism is Islamic.
For me these statements are absurd and perhaps coming from comments on youtube videos. It is not your fault if western media does not consider Israeli atrocities, for example, as terrorism. We do have a big problem at hand. But it is not as big as it is made out to be. We just need to address the sources of funding and reduction of provocative activities which breed hatred for the west.
Don't have to be senti and naive. It is not a phenomenon of last 25 years, which is perhaps the age of mass media and technology that enables suicide bombing in a way we see it. It has roots (rightly or wrongly is debatable) in much more older historical events.
Even if a small percentage of more than a billion Muslims in the world was as extremist as they are projected, we'd see clashes on a much larger scale than we do.
I have just read this lie on Times of India site.

NEW DELHI: In a new shift in tactics, Pakistan is planning to push as many as 60 "surrendered" Taliban into Jammu and Kashmir to become part of
the “jihad” against India. The ISI is said to have offered the extremists the option of either going to jail or crossing the Line of Control.
The “jail or jihad” option offered to the Taliban seems a useful diversion for ISI. The Pakistan military establishment has had to fight the Taliban, once its close allies in Afghanistan, but is looking to turn the situation to its advantage.
Apprehensions in Indian security circles that the crackdown by the Pakistan army on Taliban — seen as a last resort after the jihadis turned their guns on the Pakistani state — could mean trouble in Kashmir are being proved correct. Not only have infiltration attempts by regular jihadi outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba gone up, the presence of Taliban poses a new threat.
Highly placed sources said BSF and the Army had been alerted about the developments after intelligence intercepted talk about infiltration bids in the next 15 to 20 days.
“Although the Taliban is yet to successfully infiltrate into India, the coming days will pose a challenge as their attempts to sneak in are expected before the onset of winter,” said a senior official. The infiltration is closely controlled and monitored by the ISI and Pakistan army which is often involved in the crossings.
The issue cropped up as a major security concern during the two-day visit to Srinagar by a high-powered central team led by cabinet secretary K M Chandrashekhar and comprising home secretary G K Pillai, defence secretary Pradeep Kumar and other senior officials.
Top security and intelligence officials deliberated over the move by state actors in Pakistan to utilize the Taliban for their objectives in Kashmir. Taking note of the assessment, officials are learnt to have unequivocally noted during the reviews in Srinagar that there was no change in Pakistan’s support to terror groups post 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
The Taliban, who recently fought against Pakistan army in Swat Valley and other areas along the Pak-Afghan border, were well trained and battle-hardened. They could put their experience of fighting US troops to use in Kashmir.
Apart from the group of 60, there are nearly 250 to 300 jihadis — armed with sophisticated weapons, Thuraya satellite phones and Indian mobile SIM cards — poised at launch pads along LoC. This feeds into the view that violence could escalate in J&K in the winter months.
The meeting in Srinagar, attended by senior Army and paramilitary personnel, also took note of repeated use of Pakistani Air Force helicopters to evacuate injured infiltrators along the LoC and as many as 42 terror camps in PoK and Pakistan.
“Such incidents (like use of choppers) clearly show the involvement of Pakistani authorities in facilitating infiltration. Though our forces are fully alert to thwart Pakistani designs, the next 15-20 days are quite crucial as this is the period when they will do everything to infiltrate as many terrorists as possible,” said a senior official. That is when winter will begin to set in.

I didn't mean 99% literally. The point was the vast majority of terrorist groups are Islamist. Let's make a list of terrorist groups and see how many of them are Islamist.
Lashkar-e-Taiba
Lashkar-e-Omar,
Harket-ul-Jihad-Islam
Lashkar-e-Jhangvi
Jaish-e-Mohammad
Sipah-e-Shaba Pakistan
Al-Qaeda
All of these terrorist groups are in Pakistan lone....In the US there are 0 Christian terrorist groups, 0 Hindu terrorist groups, 0 Buddhist terrorist groups, 0 Confucian terrorist groups, 1 largely dormant Jewish terrorist group (JDL), while 9 Islamist terrorist attacks have been disrupted this year alone.
Back to global terror:
Jemayahh Islamia
Abu Safayeff
Hamas
Hezbollah
ETA
Farc
Chechen terrorists
A host of terrorist groups in Somalia
Can you add to this list? Only two, ETA and FARC, are not Islamist.

We just need to address the sources of funding and reduction of provocative activities which breed hatred for the west.
[/QUOTE]
It isn't just hatred of the West. What does the Islamist call for genocide against Ahmadiyas in Kashmir have to do with the West? What does Islamist terrorism in the Philippines, Thailand, China, India, terror in Swat in Pakistan, etc. have to do with the West? Read Islamist ideology. Their goal is to institute fascist Islamist states in Islamic lands first, then retake any formerly Muslim lands (Spain, France, Russia, Sicily, Greece, India, etc.), and then take over the rest of the world.

Suicide bombing is a recent phenomenon. Terrorism is longer and Islamic jihad is far longer but suicide bombing is new.

Few are extremist; many are sympathetic with extremists, cheering them on but are unwilling to strap bombs onto themselves. Read this board. There are several pro-Islamist posters here.

But, but, I thought there were just a tiny number of extremists? Here you evidently have a state (population 181 million and rising rapidly), despite suffering itself from terrorism, exporting terrorism if this report is true. When is Pakistan going to learn that you cannot contain terrorism? If you tell people they go to heaven and receive 72 virgin sex slaves for killing in Kashmir or Afghanistan it is only a matter of time before some of those people apply that "logic" to Pakistan.
