This tells alot about ur info on Pakistan
This is start of another wave of terrorism... the attempt is to let the sects fight...
if i am right, same kind of incidents started in the northern areas, where Shia and Sunni started bombing each other ( i guess it was Faisal Saleh Hayat's era, he was the fed. minister for that area then) and then taliban came up and both parties got screwed..
What media and civil society should emphasize on the loss of innocent and valuable lives in this and other blasts. they should not give more focus or bring in the sects. in their discussion...
Re: Pakistan: Bomb kills 10 near Shiite mosque
Then what is the solution to stop these terrorists. How to counter them, the more your fight them the more they grow. NO place is safe here in ISB, just today schools have been closed for 5 days due to security reason. Should be stop going out, or should police and rangers patrol in cars to guarantee civilian safety.

The Solution is right there!!!
The govt should stop de-stablizing the poltical units, and should appoint compatible ministers to curb terrorism.. so far Rehman Malik the guy responsible to security is just busy in giving news items... and nothing more.
The Govt. should separate itself from the so-called war-on-terror which is nothing more than serving the interest of western powers. The govt. should set its own priorities and drives these animals either out of Pakistan or to the hell.
The Govt. should agreesively disclose the name of the countries involved in supporting these terror activities, stop defending Pakistan's stance, act agreesively against those external nation and countries invloved in supporting terrorism in Pakistan.
Thats it, it is this simple, but Govt. seems to have some other priorities, they are just busy in counting their services country... having incompatible heads, who are capable of creating unstability in the country... the team of incompatible, doesn't matter how big it is, can never acheive anything let alone driving country out of this crisis.
Re: Pakistan: Bomb kills 10 near Shiite mosque
OR the public should take to the streets, like long march, that certainly solved the CJ issue and brought back minister of punjab.
Re: Pakistan: Bomb kills 10 near Shiite mosque
Unfortunately, the terrorists don't listen to public, otherwise a long march could have been arranged, the only March they listen to is the troops moving against them, the only language they understand is spoken through the barrel of the gun... so Civilian Long March will not make any difference to them...
Yes the Govt has to act, and they should not wait until people come out on the street and demand the govt. to go home as it has utterly failed to provide any security to them... so in order to avoid that long march, Govt. Should March in right direction...

Well said, that s what i was trying to say, public pressure on the Govt.
I really hope these suicide attacks would stop.

Yeah most Pakis I have met have the mistaken impression that Pakistan was founded as a Islamic Republic…its no biggie…they have been brainwashed since childhood into believing this…and you are one of them…
Read some books, do some research and you will learn the truth…
Here watch this video:
This is an interview with Tariq Ali, one of the most respected Pakistani intellects in the world…and he will give you a brief history of Pakistan and why it went disastarously wrong…
And then watch this one…it talks in more detail about the Islamization of Pakistan under Zia
I am 100% sure all of this must be new information to you
Beta jee!
The Name Islamic republic was first given in the first constitution of Pakistan, later when Ayoub Khan came up with his constitution he name Pakistan as " Repulic of Pakistan" to which there was fierce public reaction and he have to change the name to “Islamic Republic of Pakistan” later when bhutto introduced his consitution, it had the same name which was “Islamic Republic of Pakistan” and this consitution has the some islamic clause which gives a hint of Islamic welfare state with an essence of socialism in it.
Any way your favourite Zia, only added the Hadood ordinance and he formed majlis-e-shoor’aa ant thats it.. if USSR hadn’t invaded Afghanistan, then we might have seen mush’s version of islam in 80s.
anyway, these kind of historians can be found for Rs: 10 / 3 dozen and same rate is for the historians who refute them
a country founded for the Muslims of Sub-continent, is not going to be a muslims state.. no one can say a better joke then this one…

It’s obvious that it is their fault, after all I’m sure they were cursing the sahabas in the mosque before it was bombed ![]()

Not true.
Islam was always a prime element in the foundation of Pakistan. The very revolution led by Allama Iqbal and others was on the basis that Pakistan will be a nation in the name of Islam, whose principles would be in line with Quran and Sunnah.
Islamic Republic of Pakistan was to adhere to Islam in law making, and everything that an Islamic nation would have including protection of the rights of the minorities, the right for their representation in Goverment, and freedom of worship, and all that other good stuff that a true Caliphate offers.
Secularism was introduced much much later in attempts to separate state from religion much like UK/US. And we're still in the state of limbo over it, the laws passed are passed in the light of Islamic constitution, but their implementation is done according to western model, which is why the system has never worked properly and there's always political instability.

It was not Islam but Muslims. Pakistan was to be a Secular State. Quran had no role to play in formulating the Pakistani Constitution.

And that is also present in Western Secular States.

Secularism was the driving factor for Jinnah.
Jinnah would be revolted at the extremism of Pakistan
