Pakistan bomb explosion kills six

A bomb blast at a petrol station in north-western Pakistan has killed at least six people, police said. The attack took place in Charsada district, near Peshawar city. Police said the bomb was planted in a vehicle.

Among the dead were children of a woman taking fuel. At least eight people were injured in the explosion, police said.

The area is close to Pakistan’s lawless tribal districts where Taliban militants are active and the government has little control.
