An ANP leader has said in parliament that Sri Lanka was able to root out Tamil terrorism with the help of Pak army. Does anyone here know any details about the extent of co-operation between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in this matter?

Google is your friend Geezer. There are several documents out there detailing differing extent of cooperation between SL and Pak.
The esteemed member of parliament from ANP, however, should know that Sri Lanka is an island where it is much easier to corner terrorists.

apna country sambhala nahieen jata iss army say and they are trying to root out terrorism problems somewhere else...now comeon...a lot of this is bul****.....and way overly exaggerated

PAF operated in Srilanka in which broke the back of tamil tiger assault), but Army role in final stage of war is unheard of except supply of certain type of weapon produced by our factories.
By the way i doubt that Pakistan Army has operated (except few trainers and advisory roles in final stage of Sri Lankan war, as terrain are totally different then what our army trained to fight on (mostly jungle warfare which we are not trained).

As far as I know..the Pak army only advisory and training roles in SL, the use of some weapons and the air force...this is what I heard when I was in SL...

We know these are two completely different situations but helping another country root out terrorism which resulted in success is a big achievement. If we remember the 80s and 90s, suicide bombings were common in Sri Lanka and look how peaceful they are now.

^ they are peaceful because they have defeated LTTE. Pakistan did have a role, maybe advisory plus Pakistan Ordinance Factory's weapons were provided to Srilankan army.

I didn't express any dislike for your pose, nor did I suggest you were crossing any limits, nor was it any kind of instructional lecture. I was just suggesting that if you post without even reading what the discussion is about, you'll dilute your own opinion.

This person has a habit of coming into threads to throw flame and divert the discussion into another direction and pretends to be someone that he is not and pretends to belong to the place he doesn't belong to. Is that clear enough? :)
This kind of behavior is taken as serious offence in other places but i don't know about the policies of this forum so its best to ignore them.

Both countries enjoy good relations, be its military cooperation or trading. but like others said, Pakistan only provided them with weapons and assisted them in training.

Ok. In my opinion, the person concerned is one of the most objective, unbiased, fair posters I have come across.
