After reading the above article, there is no doubt in my mind that the average Pakistani soldier is loyal and brave (awesome).
The question is not of the soldiers, but of the PA officers/Generals who hid & twisted the facts to make the people believe they are awesome, always true, always “winners”, always the best..
Is the propaganda machine of the PA so strong, or are the people of pakistan so gullible / naive.

There are many things that the Pakistani army does with which I am not comfortable with, and I vent my frustration on this forum from time to time. But still I wouldnt want an Indian to tell me if PA is awesome or not, as I know your reason for these kinds of posts is not to further any discussion but to inflame the emotions here and nothing else.

The pakistani history books are changed, the army deeply influences the foreign and even domestic policy. It runs schools, factories, housing schemes, lends the army to the USA for dollars, etc etc.
The army is above the law - in fact, it is the law.
In India, the BJP tried to change the school books, but were soon kicked.
The army is non political and is under the command of the civilians/government.
My question is the same, how did the PA's top brass manage to remain 'awesome', despite all their meddling and money making schemes.

^^^that is none of your business, it is business of Pakistanies if they are fine with it then who are you to meddle in and if they are not fine it, they would take it to their leadership again no Indian need to be worried about it...

It’s delibrate attempt to incite people on this forum to unruly reaction. Being an Indian, don’t you understand that you aren’t the right person to touch upon such a topic? Discussion is welcome and so are you, but I understand that there are some do’s and dont’s which are in effect by default.

No he can't. This is a very genetic problems of Indians and can not just vanish over night. At least 100 or more years will require until these Indians finally start realizing why every neighbor hates them.

Indeed this forum helps us understand what really goes inside some Indian minds. I thought our society was infected with hate, arrogance and hypocrisy.. but really after reading some of the Indian posters.. we come no way near them..!!!

Question for you why for Indians everything is an isi conspiracy? the latest Bangladesh fiasco is infront of everyone. Dont worry about Pakistan much ask your awesome army to fix the situation in the red corridor.

Your point about history books is also correct - the history we are taught is biased and an attempt to foster statehood.
I'm assuming you're Indian and grew up there. What do you history books say about Junagarh, Manvadr, and Hyderabad at the time of partition.
I would assume that Indian history books are also historically incorrect - and revisionist to cater to promote Indian statehood - is there someplace I can access Indian school text books on Indian history (we call it Pakistan studies here and its a compulsory subject in grades 9,10,11.
And one last questions - which Pakistani history books have you read? Try reading Hamza Alvi - I could give you more suggestions if you'd like.

All nations have their share of half truths, denials, and distortions. For America its Vietnam, the bay of pigs, Iraq war, parts of revolution. For India its Kashmir, its the partition, its the wars fought with Pak, the war with China. Point being, all countries interpret events to suite their own bias. Pakistan is no exception. The one thing that is similar in how we approach our collective history is that we are both convinced its the other side thats using propoganda and intentionaly distorting facts.
