If it is Afghan Area, what was Pak Army doing there since 1980, who permitted them to take control of foreign territory???
And how come they are allowed to handover Pakistani occupied land to anyone they please?

By the way, if Army was indeed handing over Pakistani land to Afghanistan, I doubt they would've posted pictures of it on twitter. Trust me, the whole thing would've happened under covers without anyone having a clue about it, if the issue was that serious and black and white.
It reminds how some people were thick enough to be convinced that ISI would be stupid enough to kill Sabeen Mehmood right after she attended seminar on Balochistan. The same people now open threads condemning the educated extremists who killed for totally different reasons.

They are getting proper budget... but performance is very bad.

Did PA built a post on afghan land with their assent as a CBM ? I know that the army is used to 'my way or the highway' but we have a sitting parliament now and national security comes under it purview. We had a sensible discussion until some pro-army folks had a knee jerk reaction; of course, they aren't pakistani and maybe majority of us aren't living in pakistan, but then you can't really blabber about rules and constitution. What is wrong is wrong.

In 1971, Pak Army handed over control of Dhaka ( as per ISPR) so it is Yehya's personal decision.
In 1984, we simply lost Siachen, Ofcourse it was Jazba-e-khair sagali
In 1999, we recived phenty of all time and our closest ally, Saudi and China, both asked us to withdraw.
Then come the bravest of brave, Gem Mushy, since then Americam, Indians, Israeli, Iranian, UAE's agents are roaming Pakistan like Khala jee ka waRa..
Angoor Ada, it have Angoor in it, which is vital in making of Vine.. Since Ramadan is on horizon, we can't have it.

If you are talking about me, then sorry I think Pakistan's constitution is utter piece of crap. The constitution has nothing to do with Jinnah's vision, what good is the constitution that institutionalises discrimination against minorities and the constitution that up until few years ago, did not give provinces their due autonomy? I have never went out of my way to prove Constitution as some holy bible or something.
Now don't bother bringing Imran and PTI into it. As you said I am "not a Pakistani" so I can get away with saying how flawed and useless Pakistan's constitution is whereas a public figure will be tried for high treason for saying anything against the Holy Constitution of the Land of Pure.
PS: In a thread where hysterical PMLN supporters are opportunistically using this episode to sell their party propaganda to settle political scores. I think bit of pro army voice was needed. You are an interesting poster, and I like you, so carry on.
I do believe that more information should have been provided prior to the move but really I am not going to pretend that Army has given the whole country away when I am clearly biased and I strongly believe in fencing the border and resolving all border disputes even it involves give and take deals.

Seems like it was the constructions b/w Pakistani and Afghan border. But even if it was occupied by Pak Army, giving it back to Afghans should be the step from GOVT and not ARMY.

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan officials on Tuesday said Pakistan troops had moved back from their new installations in the Angoor Ada area, which straddles both sides of the boundary between the two countries.
Recently, some residents of southeastern Paktika province claimed that Pakistani forces had occupied farmland and forests near the Durand Line in Barmal and Shkin districts and had been asking local residents to get Pakistani ID cards if they wanted to return to their areas.
A source close to the Afghan government confirmed that** Pakistani forces had constructed a gate in Angoor Ada area inside Barmal district**. “We have been talking to Pakistani officials over the past five months to remove the gate and shift checkpoints to the previous locations.”
The standard operating procedure (SOP), prepared for resolving border issues, has not been signed by the two sides, the source said.
He said the reason behind the delay in signing the procedure was that they wanted to have political consensus on the matter to avoid a controversy like the intelligence agreement between the two countries.
After signing of the SOP, border issues and other similar issues would be resolved, the source said.
“The Durand Line issue is separate one, but the SOP will only include cooperation along the Durand Line. Pakistani officials say they will hand over their buildings they recently constructed to the Afghan side and will shift their checkpoints to the old locations,” the source added.

that is the point....the whole nation including Parliament found about it when army announced it about it via twitter. general raheel has built a reputation of working with the govt and Parliament and i am really surprised by this action.
