Pakistan and Youhana - Up in ratings

Pakistan has moved to 4th position from 7th in ICC ODI rankings (why not 3rd with england as both has 126 points  ). Here are the updated rankings

1 Australia 135
2 South Africa 118
3 England 107
4 Pakistan 107
5 West Indies 106
6 New Zealand 106
7 Sri Lanka 105
8 India 104
9 Zimbabwe 63
10 Kenya 28
11 Bangladesh 0

and Yousuf Youhana is now 7th in PWC ODI rataings. He moved from 17th to 7th due to his super form during the BD series.

1 Sachin Tendulkar 773
2 Ricky Ponting 763
3 Brian Lara 745
4 Michael Bevan 743
5 Chris Gayle 735
6 Adam Gilchrist 727
7 Yousuf Youhana 726
8 Marcus Trescothick 724
9 Matthew Hayden 718
10 Jacques Kallis 716

Rating is ridiculous, how can you move from 7 to 3 in space of 5 matches, specially against BD.

Batsmen ratings look fair.

Re: Pakistan and Youhana - Up in ratings

holey holey bhai , it looks fair to me because difference b/w the 7th and 4th position is of only 2 points. Pakistan has earned these 2 points by winning 5 matches.

4 of the world’s top 10 batsmen are Australian

Thats why they have the best batting lineup in the world.

youhana is on fire right now...glad to see him up there in the top 10... wasnt inzi in the top ten like a week ago?

you're right...i had him confused with the one day rankings....he's rated quite low in one dayers dont u think?

Pak should play one more series against BD, now that SA is not coming...they might then reach No. 1 in the rankings..

Man everytime I read your post you sound more desprate and desprate to see PAK lose.

Good old saying “angoor khatay hain” :hehe:

when i see Youhana batting like this..a song comes to mind
Zindagi se yehi gilla hay mujhay...tu bari dair se mila hay mujhay :)
he is very classy and will improve his ratings further Inshallah

bechara, ahahahh you can't stand to see one good thing happen to Pakistan
Your response after India lost the bronze medal match was classic......

:hehe:

Definetly Youhana is all class, but if he could learn to play straight down the line always, instead of playing "around" his pad, it would be almost impossible to dismiss him. None the less, he is a great batsmen.

Youhanna needs to show the same form if and when the South Africans come. He's a class act though so I have every faith in his ability.

yes he's rated low despite of his performance in ODIs vs Bangladesh

His performance was not great in his pre-WC tours and the WC, that was a lots of ODIs against stronger teams... these 5 were with weakest team thats why performance in these matches would not do a whole lot to him.
