These ayaat were revealed at the time of Ghazwat-ul-Bad’r when mere 313 muslims defeated 1000 non-believers. This is the specific application of these ayaahs for that time…
Many scholars in Pakistan also apply the very ayaahs for the struggle and creation of Pakistan - It’s true that Pakistan was created for Islam.. It was descended from Heaven on Lailat-ul-Qad’r and Muslims had the same doubts that are being discussed in the ayaahs… and it was only Allah’s help that they could get a country like Pakistan. But are we also listening to the commands in the next ayaahs…???

Translation:
8:26] Call to mind when ye were a small (band), despised through the land, and afraid that men might despoil and kidnap you; But He provided a safe asylum for you, strengthened you with His aid, and gave you Good things for sustenance: that ye might be grateful.
8:27] O ye that believe! betray not the trust of Allah and the Messenger, nor misappropriate knowingly things entrusted to you.
8:28] And know ye that your possessions and your progeny are but a trial; and that it is Allah with Whom lies your highest reward.
First, I never learnt Tajweed from a teacher so, I am not sure if I should be praised for I might very well be making mistakes; May Allah:swt: forgive me…
However, the point of the thread was not really about my recitation but the recitation of Quran itself and the message contained in it for all of us.

link between Pakistan and this Surah is pretty clear.
a nation that has to stand on its own, must learn now, to do so. and not cheat in its responsibility to its own survival as God Fearing.
only then Allah swt will guide it.
as a nation we need to be grateful.
or else, the worse will happen to us all in this world and the next.
may Allah help realize the message in this Surah.
