Pakistan and New Zealand to play in UAE

Pakistan and New Zealand will play three ODIs and two Twenty20s in UAE starting November 3 before heading to New Zealand for the Test series leg of the tour.

The one-day matches on November 3, 6 and 9 will be played in Abu Dhabi after which the teams will head to Dubai for the Twenty20s on November 12 and 13.

Pakistan board chairman Ijaz Butt had visited UAE earlier this month to explore the neutral-venues option and had planned four ODIs along with two Twenty20s. All tours to Pakistan were cancelled after the attacks on Sri Lankan cricketers in Lahore in March so New Zealand agreed to allow Pakistan to be the ‘home’ team for the Test series starting on November 24 in Dunedin.
Pakistan also hosted Australia for five ODIs and Twenty20 in UAE in May this year.

The 3 test series against Kiwis at their home ground will be played after the ODI and T20 series in UAE. Pakistan will then tour Australia for Test and ODI series. Plenty of cricket to look forward to in 2009-10. Not to forget the T20 world cup in April, Asia Cup in June and then the busy english summer with series against Australia and England.

I can't wait. I am looking forward to watching two amazing T20s in the stadium just 5 minutes from my home. Went to the Australia VS PAK T20 in May as well in Dubai grounds.
