Pakistan and India to play two ODIs in Abu Dhabi

KARACHI: Pakistan and India will play two one-day internationals in Abu Dhabi on April 18 and 19 this year to help the October 8 earthquake victims, stated Sharad Pawar, the president of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), during a press conference at the National Stadium here on Sunday.
The Indian cricket board president said the decision was taken by the two boards after he had a meeting with his counterpart Shahryar Mohammad Khan. Pawar said the 75 percent income of the first match would be given to earthquake victims of Pakistan and the remaining to the victims of India. “The income of the second ODI will be shared between BCCI and PCB,” he added.Pawar said a five-day match would be played in Dharamshal, the Indian city of Himachal Pardesh, from May 4 to 8 this year between the winners of Ranji Trophy (India) and Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (Pakistan). Pawar said the Indian Under-19 team would visit Pakistan in September this year. “And this will be an annual feature on reciprocal basis.” He praised the supporting attitude of the Karachi crowd during the Test and one-day matches.
