Has anyone travelled to-from Pakistan on e-ticket? I am told by the travel agent that there is no trouble flying with e-ticket from Pakistan “now”, is it true? Not that I am questioning the electronic system in Pakistan connecting to Gulf/American Airlines, rather the “security” guards standing outside the terminal gates, they ask for your passport and (paper) ticket before let you go inside. Do these guards know about “electronic” ticket? How are they confirming if a passenger has geniune e-ticket and not a home-printed itinerary?
yeah travelled to pakistan with an e-ticket last month. no trouble at all. you just show them your printed out itinerary, which is also your e-ticket, and you're fine.

Anyone??
smooth sailing. as for guards, they know what they are doing. u make sure u have all ur documents with you. bcos thats a very bad habit of pakistanis to blame others for their own faults. if u have your documents in order i'm sure they'll let you through with no problems.
my dad travelled forever on a eticket and he had no problems..........so its a :biggthumb...............
is that "forever" = 12 months? We are talking about travel to/from Pakistan here, not domestic travel in US.
my wife just came from pakistan on an e-ticket...no problem at all in fact they usually don't even ask you to show them the printed off itinerary...they just want to see your passport and i guess they can check their records against your name
^^^ thats correct, PIA started doing this e-ticket thing, they should call it virtual ticket as you can also reserve the seat through internet if you have booking reference number. they identify you from your passport.
My mum and dad last year travelled with them, without any problems.
Last year we were traveling from Lahore on E-Ticket via Singapore Airlines and the guard stopped us at the gate asking why our E-Tickets have not been endorsed!!! We had to contact the airline to let us get in. From early this year no problem at all. PIA is all e-ticket now (at least from major cities).
