There is so much insecurity in Pakistan nowadays that it has rendered common folks restless and helpless … despite peaceful elections security situation is getting worse, for God know what reason.
Just the other day a senior colleagues/friend was sitting in my office and trying to engage me in hardcore debate by asking my opinion as why all this mayhem is happening now and how his childhood, and teenage was so calm and peaceful ??
I was certainly not in the mood of any serious discussion on depressing prevailing conditions, so thought of giving him some nonesense answer which would seriously turn him off. I said :
‘Our teenage and childhood was peaceful because Nazia Hassan was among us… Her soothing voice used to calm our mind and senses. Her charming personality used to mesmerize us. Since She is no longer among us so the resultant unrest among youngsters’.
Although I was saved from any further querries, but it made me depressed because what i have said to tick him off was actually cent per cent truth
She was a fairy for us. We owe major part of our innocent childhood to her. May Allah bless her soul. ameen
