**Pakistan’s Supreme Court has adjourned a hearing that sought the re-arrest of the head of an Islamic charity in connection with the Mumbai attacks. **A lawyer acting for Hafiz Saeed said the court had adjourned the hearing indefinitely because the prosecution was not prepared for the case.
Mr Saeed heads Jamaat-ud-Dawa, a charity accused of being a front for the Lashkar-e-Taiba militant group.
He denies any involvement in the Mumbai (Bombay) attacks of November 2008.
More than 170 people were killed, nine of them gunmen. India blames Lashkar-e-Taiba for the attacks.
The government wants Mr Saeed returned to custody.
He was released in June by a Lahore court which found insufficient evidence for his continued detention.
