her own quote was that she wanted to go back and legally pursue her attacker..
suicide seems odd if you put it next to her goal.

Even if she was killed, there will never be justice on her behalf. At least not until, politicians stop clearing their way to innocence with money.

I read about this, really sad, talk about justice not being served.
There's another woman, Tehmina Durrani who was her mother-in-law or something, and who tried to help her cos her own hubby used to beat her. She wrote a book about it, 'My Feudal Lord' which created a bit of publicity, but it didn't really help the victim that much :(

Also, it's really sad that Italy offered to help her with free cosmetic surgery because people wouldn't help her in Pakistan.

Story made it to the front page of Yahoo Canada today, I was just reading some comments on the story, it tells a lot about how other people are thinking of us.

According to the way I read the article and responses I have created a convoluted picture:

… It may be that Fakhra found out about her helper’s relationship with her husband (step-mother) and then killed herself - realising that she won’t get revenge and her helper has become rich and famous on account of her misery and people like her.

from my understanding, everyone knew about Tehmina Durrani’s relationship.. but she had been separated for awhile, and so I dont see this as something to ignite suicide…

Im leaning towards her being killed… and not by Tehmina Durrani
