Pakistan- a scary place.

Ok its official.
Pakistan is a very scary place for human inhabitants.

And we thought after taliban threat is over/reduced it would more liveable place.
Now, traditionally mild sects, running after people to kill them and forcing Govt to persecute them.

:frowning:

I remember the country, where 2 boys in our school use to write animal names in-front few of our beloved khalifas names. Every one thought those boys as strange. And that’s about.

What a changed country :frowning:

Re: Pakistan- a scary place.

Pakistan state is indeed an indignified for any human to live under

Re: Pakistan- a scary place.

Well if you ask the Black Population in USA they will disagree, seems USA is getting to be very scary for the Black Minority, 12 year old kid shot by Police! and an unarmed Man strangled on the street by Police for resisting arrest! all under the protection of the local Laws

Re: Pakistan- a scary place.

yes but still we have a Black President. I think the problems lies with the mindset in law enforcement officers. They need to desensitized to seeing black person as provocative but it would take effort.

All places in the world has their fair share of dangers, but Pakistan more than others. All we can do is hope and pray things turn out for the better and Pakistan becomes more tolerant and peaceful

Re: Pakistan- a scary place.

Having a black president does not mean that racism has disappeared. It’s more than just the policeman, just like women in Pakistan are suppressed and discrminated against. Yet we have had women PM and ministers and MP’s.

Re: Pakistan- a scary place.

Pakistan can be as pleasant or as scary place to live as the law enforcement agencies, politicians and people make it out to be.

Re: Pakistan- a scary place.

Also, I would submit to the good doctor that the need to “desensitized police from seeing blacks as provacative” implies that blacks are to an extent provocative.

We need to address the elephant in the room - racism. Disdain for certain members of the community by some members of the police. And institutionalized support for misconduct. As evidenced by lack of of indictments.
