Pakistan back to #3 spot in ICC ODI ranking. However India are right behind on number 4 spot. The outcome of 7 ODI series between India and England will be important for both Pakistan and India.

fkhan2, why its important for both? They are almost side by side along with NZ. I think the things will more clearer after Pak tour of England, since the trio Pak-Ind-Eng have been playing with each other from Dec-June the real rating will appear on scale at the end of Pak series in England.
However we have secured our ICCC berth by beating SL by 2-0. Poor WI (who is happpened to be ICCC holder :D) will have to play with minnows now. I guess.

Yar you are right. However if India lose badly for instance 5/2, in that case they will drop down to number 6 spot. Pakistan will retain number 3.
And if India win by 4/3 or 5/2 than Pakistan will drop down to 4.
So it is actually more important for India than Pakistan.
If Pakistan can retain number 3 spot which will happen if India loses the upcoming series than Pakistan will have a shot at number 2 spot in their series against England.
