Just wondering what 11 you would have in a Pakistan XI…Naturally it would be somewhat different to our normal side but not too much cos we have a naturally attacking side anyway…who would you take out…and what addtions would you make for a 20/20 XI?..

Kamran Akmal:( Excellent keeper, improved batting)
Mansoor Amjad: ( An attacking leg spinner who is more than handy batsman)
*Rana Naved: *( wicket taking bowler, another good low order batsman)
*Samiullah Niazi: *( Keeps it very tight, good L&L bowler)............. Umar Gul can replace him when FULLY fit bcoz he is another L&L bowler.

3. Asif Hussain (A 20-20 match winner and most consistent performer in 20-20)
6. Moin Khan:( Excellent keeper, born to hit)
9. Shoaib Akhter (just Dangerous)

Mohd Hafeez??? That guy has a strike rate of below 50 in ODI’s. Sami and Akhtar instead of Niazi and Amjad, we already have spin from Malik and Afridi.

armughal i agree that Azhar is a very good choice but spinners are more effective in 20:20 than medium pacers and we already have Rana, Samiullah and Razzaq in the team, so a genuine spinner (Mansoor Amjad is a better option).
umar, i only agree about Asif Hussain but the only reason i opted for Inzi is because he is ever reliable batsman who performs well in crisis situation and Asif Hussain may not perform as well at international stage.
Moin Khan is really good but he hardly has any chance to represent Pak ever again.
Shoaib Akhtar is too expensive for ODI's let alone 20:20.
skhan, i watched most of the ABN 20:20 games live and surprisingly Hafeez (who i don't rate much) was one of the best batsmen and very effective bowler, he PROVED himself recently in internation 20:20 cup as well.

Moin Khan was the only person to score a century in ABN Amro's 20-20. I will never be favoring him for a position in ODIs or Tests, but for a 20-20, he is STILL the best choice to me.
Asif Hussain can play any where. He is one of the most consistent and confidant players available at a domestic level. For the tour of WI, he was contacted by the PCB, but could not make it as (almost) all senior players were available.
Akhter took 5-wickets in a match in that tournament, and he was going economical against Wolves, until he hurt his fingers. He is amongst the best options for strike bowler.
Inzamam was my favorite hitter just a couple of years back, now his abilities to hit BIG sixes are really questionable, and 20-20 is mainly about hitting big shots. With almost 7 hard-hitting batsmen in the teams, Inzamam is a poor selection. He was a member of Multan side but he excused them (for the same reason) and never took part in 20-20 tournament. I still want him to play in ODIs and Tests and that too as a Captain.
