Hate the word. In UK its used in a racist way. It originated from when white gangs used to beat up Pakistanis, used to be known as ‘Paki bashing’. Since then in UK atleast the word is used in a racist way to describe any brown person but mainly Pakistanis. Though I understand its not the same elsewhere.

Interesting. But of all browns , why did they attack Pakistanis and came with a word from their identity. I don’t think that Pakistani were / are major portion of brown population in UK.
