The relative severity of the various English profanities, as perceived by the public, was studied on behalf of the British Broadcasting Standards Commission, Independent Television Commission, BBC and Advertising Standards Authority; the results of this jointly commissioned research were published in December 2000 in a paper called “Delete Expletives”. It listed the profanities in order of severity, the top ten being

I agree with verizon uncle. I don't mind being called a paki at all ...why shud we consider it offensive. i know its a vulgar term in UK but i think of it as a shorter version of Pakistani....I call every paki as a "paki" myself :D
