sometimes I think that my generation was better off, although we had no internet, cell phones or other such toys, but we had loads of other things to do, friendships were made and cherished for life NOT online, but in person. Getting together meant MEETING in person at a friends house to watch movies on the VCR or playing cricket outside the house, or just simply lying in the grass in the lawn, telling funny jokes, talking... just having fun.
This current generation has seen violence, bloodshed, bad news day in and day out, and days when it is dangerous even to poke your head out of your home. Things that were unheard of at the time when we were school kids.

I can feel the pain of the people back in pakistan.

^ You are absolutely right JB. Although i'm thankful for all the conveniences i have, i sometimes yearn for times when lives were simpler and people were geniune in what they said and did, whether for the good or bad. I have been told back then You knew one's grudge and why it was there and mutual people would try to disburse the feeling whenever possible. People would disagree but stay as one, and they loved the nation and loved to see it prosper even at their personal expense. Now we're witnessing the opposite...
Now it's all either diminished to a light grey or disappeared altogether. :(

may all be safe and may Allah swt enable loyal Pakistanis tobe able to recognize who is who. and deal with the developing situation, efectively without life loss or damage to the properties, or the countryland. amen.

truly a sad in the history of pakistan, and the ppl are not making it any better by killing their own ppl. I really pray Allah to give some sense to those ppl. And i pray for all the brothers and sisters who are in pakistan and hope they return home safely Aameen.
