I just can’t tolerate them anymore. Some of these people should not be allowed near pen and paper - these scriptwriters that is.

I now open up pakistani channels, take one painful minute to listen to a dramas dialogues, and then change the channel.

They’re fake, unrealistic, sleezy, overdramatic, and filled with bad grammar.

I hate them. :mad:

I second, third, fourth and fifth that!!!

I have stopped watching ARY completely now. It is just tooo freakingg disappointing and annoying to wach or listen to any of these dramas. Seema Ghazal should really be banned from writing dramas. And on top of all that, the stupid music that they have in the dramas now, the whole dheeshum dheeshum business :rolleyes:

I miss the GREAT dramas that I once watched on PTV-1 in Pakistan. :frowning:

I stopped watching dramas when the production went in the hands of untrained private production teams. I still love the old PTV dramas.

I second you on that one. I happened to read one of her interviews and couldn't believe she was such an airhead. She went on to critcize great writers like haseena moin .she said haseena moin's dramas can't be taken seriously today because they are unrealistic. She should be shown the mirror. she doesn't even know the basics of scriptwriting and she's comparing herself with an icon like haseena moin.
Seema ghazal is the one of the mian reasons for the decline of our dramas.

I'm currently watching e.g. Qabza, Pyari Shammo, and Khata on GEO, their scripts are quite good. Mind you, Khata is based on true stories so they don't really require a script as such.

PCG are u watching Khata...?

You don’t need good scripts for Pakistani films. All you need is a fat and ugly actress, a 45 year old guy with a long mustache, and the young “cool” looking dude with the sweaty armpits, dancing around like they just came out of a dance class in the jungles of the Congo.

Seema ghazal used to be really good (that is 4-5 years ago) but i don't know what happened to her now. I wonder where is Suria Bajia. I think she writes the best dramas. I haven't seen any of her dramas on ARY. did she stop writing?

I don't know but I did see Seema Ghazal once on this talk show, and man does she have airs, like she owns television writing.

You're bound to see bad crap when so many serials are being made. But good scripts are there; just take a look at Sahira Kazmi's new serial which is so brilliantly penned. It's airing on ARY. Scripts for some of the stuff on GEO have been pretty nice too.

I think the Sahira Kazmi one is the first one I've seen in a long time with a good script. That guy, now I forget his name, but he's supposedly accused of murdering his wife (another drama director or something), and he comes up with great scripts too - he did seeli baarish and that one drama that came on prime that starts with a "B".

I'm so lost on names today.

The only one I'm watching (or trying since they haven't aired it for the past 2 weeks!) is Kaisay Kahoon on ARY. It reminds me of the old PTV dramas which made sense and were more than 15 minutes long.

Tere Pehloo Mein is quite good too which is currently on GEO. There's a few others, like Khuda Ki Basti and Jaaye Kahan Ye Dil. There are a few which are irritating, shot like Indian dramas, lots of slow motion, zooming in with dramatic music, totally over the top crap like that, that happens a lot in Tere Pehloo Mein but the story line makes up for it in that case. :p
