If it helps, my dupatta has NO kaam on it…just a fabric border (the reason is because the outfit has more kaam on it so thats why the dupatta is more plain). Would that make it easier to pin on my own (get a friend that is experienced in pinning dupattas in different styles)? Because I am leaning toward getting party hair+makeup done and then just doing the dupatta myself.

I feel like going to MAC and then getting my hair done separately will add that extra step and I don’t have very much time to be running around from place to place. Plus I don’t know any MAC artists so it would be hard for me to go in and just get some random person to do it. At least with Wania, Seher, Hafsa and others, I can see pictures of their work and style.

I still haven’t decided what to do yet…

RaniPakistani my sister’s dupatta was just fabric border too and she was planning to do it herself too but it is totally worth getting the dupatta done from a professional especially if you are getting hair and makeup done from the same person then the dupatta setting should be included in the price…as I mentioned before Hafsa charged $100 and everything was included..my sister took her own false lashes and she put them on for no charge…

One more reason why getting dupatta set is important is the way she put the pins in it didn’t ruin the fabric of the dupatta and yet it still secured it in place.
