Well I don't know about the Hinkowaan in Peshawar and Kohat nor met or seen one or even know if they are the same people as us but I do know that in our culture for a man to dance is despised, low castes do it at weddings and stuff for money but not regular Hindkowaan. I signed up for dhol and bhangra lessons becuase of my Punjabi mates and when my dad found out from a nosey uncle I got the beating of my life.

Why haven’t the mods done anything about this thread? They are usually quick to ‘tidy up’ the forums but this thread has been allowed to drag on for so long. The issues raised by the original poster aren’t even being discussed any more and now its just a slanging match between a few individuals. I suspect had this been a thread about any other ethnic group that this would never have been allowed to fester for this long but far be for me to suggest any biases on the site.
(And where are the other so-called pukhtoons? They are quick to claim links to how they are ‘pathans’ in any other thread about ethnicity but when it comes to supporting one another they are nowhere to be seen)
