Please also add ICC and their continued incompetence to your list. It makes sense that the ICC task Force team is involved in a lot of Pakistan Cricket matters becasue of the incompetence of Ijaz Butt and Co. in running cricket matters in Pakistan. But reviewing the list of WC probables is bull **** and just drama bazi as Captain said. Basically ICC is trying to highlight their totally functionless ASCU unit as much as they can while this match fixing issue will last. ASCU has done absolutely nothing in the last 10 years or so and this is the only ICC has got this opportunity to respond to criticism against ASCU being a dead unit just like ICC.
Such measures of evaluating Pakistan WC probables may make sense if the Salman Butt and Co. have already been proven guilty and received bans/punishments. On what basis ICC or ASCU is evaluating Pakistan probables right now?
If ICC is dead sure that three or five players (including Kaneria, Akmal) are involved in spot fixing then why aren’t they not punishing or banning them???
Why is ICC delaying the hearing of Salman Butt, Asif and Aamir when they are apparently have evidence that these players are involved in spot fixing? Or are they afraid after the hearing and its outcome, they will not be able to tell PCB to implement these “confidence building measures” related to spot fixing/match fixing???
