After winning their first ever series in the West Indies, Pakistan will be looking to complete the whitewash.
Pakistan team should remain unchanged (unless they choose to rest players). WIndies need to look at replacing Xavier Marshall at the top. Hes not ready for it yet.

Inzi is not playing.... after all he got hurt pretty bad.. poor man couldn't even walk properly.....lets hope he gets fit for the first test (so he can fulfill his suspension).... inshallah we will get them West Indians tommorow as well...

a suspension can only come into effect, when the player is deemed fit, so Inzi should be fit, for the first test... so that he can sit it out, and fulfil the suspension.... hope i am correct

Hmmm I am confused too but it doesn’t make any sense. I have never heard of such rule , but that doesn’t mean that such a rule is not there. But what if inzi tells that he is fit before the start of the first test and then the suspension will apply to him.
I think if a player gets injured before the selection of the team for a tour, and as a result is not selected, in that case the suspension will understandably not apply to him, but if suffers an injury once the series has started like inzi, in that case suspension will apply to him, regardless of his fitness for the suspended match.

well i hope u have gotten it by now… but if not.. then i guess i will xplain…
if hez not fit(at least on TV, so the ICC can see him).. then he will have to sit out for the second test match as well…cuz the rule is “you have to be fit and be able to play”… so if he IS fit, he can claim that , and sit out to finish of the suspension..and then participate in the second match…

As i said earlier, inzi can always say that he is fit, they won’t ask him to play the first test match to prove his fitness. Thats why i said that it doesn’t make sense, i am not sure if it is actually an ICC rule.

Lets get the Injury discussion out of way....
Inzamam is injured (slighty), but insha-Allah, this injury will not prevent him from proving himself fit, to sit out the first test, as per the suspension.
now can we continue further on the 3rd ODI...

I think that even if Inzimam sits out the first test because of injury, his suspension will be fulfilled. I may be wrong on it, but I was thinking of Gangulys case from his series against Pakistan. He was suspended after the 4th one day. However, he appealed, and was cleared to play till his appeal was heard. But the selectors opted to sit him out of the 5th and 6th one day because of lack of form anyway. A week later, when the ICC quashed his suspension appeal, his suspension was counted from the 5th one dayer, even though he had been sat out from that match willfully, not because of the suspension.
