Admittedly Waqar made some mistakes during the World Cup but lets not look for lame excuses by just blaming the coach. The fact of the matter is unless we change our negative mindset and whole approach to batting, new players such as Sami Aslam and recalled Fawad Alam etc. or even new coach won't make any difference in the present environment (I know it's early days for some new faces but the recent series is an example of that). Our batting is 'bakvas' to put it mildly, way too defensive & negative. We don't bat with the confidence, fluency or imagination of the top 4 or 5 teams and Waqar is not responsible for that. We have had this negative mind frame for a good 8 to 10 years. Even Bangladesh and many associate teams bat more positively than us. Probably we are just not good enough at the moment.
Lastly yeh 'rebuilding' aakhir kab tuk chaley gee?
I believe the team selection was mainly Waqar's decision, Misbah was too chicken to fightback for the team he wanted. Even now the captain is decided "based on coach recommendation" which is not the best choice. Misbah tried to live with the mediocre tram picked by coach and he didn't have enough breathing room, on most occasions our team would have folded for 150-170 runs had we no Misbah in the team.

And on some occasions the team wouod have scored 280 to 300 games and won if Mr. M was not in the team. And then it wouod have learned to play aggressively.
All Mr. M accomplished was guide the team to a mediocre 210 instead of 170. And extend the torture for the peanut gallery (permission from chaibiskut )

Yesterday some news channel was reporting Pakistani coaching staff is considering resignation. Not sure if its true though

I believe second last column is Rotation rate and last column is boundary rate

I have always supported Misbah as he was rightly made captain and lead the team well ensuring no infighting and controversies but Misbah must be blamed for this decline as well. Since 2011 World Cup we hardly tried any new players and then PCB made no arrangement for A tours which meant that we had absolutely no backup players. I remember we didn't even try reserved players when at times we were leading series against Bangaldesh and Zimbabwe. Younis kept coming back, wasted time on Kamran and Malik again and again and now we are seeing results of that stupid approach.
